It’ll be in one to two weeks, and it’ll last a month. During that time no one will be allowed to shop for groceries or do anything in public. Just to be safe make sure you have enough food stocked up. It may happen, it may not. But it’s best to be prepared.

I figured there are probably people here who know people in the same type of circles I do, so if you’ve heard anything let me know. I’m just trying to figure out how true this is.

Yes... same place. It is a guess... unless you are claiming they are omniscient.

In fact, I'll go on the record to say that, within the next 1-3 years, 98+% of the population will have been exposed.

Due to all of the doom-porn fear-mongering, our business - advertising - is taking a massive hit, and I don't think it's going to get any better any time soon.

PART 5

Now my horror trip to King Soopers to pick up his medication.I am sure this is happening in other grocery stores across the country.

When I walked in there had just been a delivery of toilet paper. I couldn't believe my timing or my eyes. People were grabbing and yelling" I scored". I ducked down and scooped up the last package. I am now the proud owner of luxury, yes luxury, toilet paper.
The line up to pick up his meds was huge so I waited. Finally I got to the front and wouldn't you know it wasn't ready. One woman in the line up begged me for the t.p. The pharmacist warned me to keep control of it.
I was forced to stay so I decided to pick up a few more items to just top off. The whole landscape had changed. Aisles were empty and people were taking as much canned food and dried food as possible and there was that undertone of masked panic. Then it started. As people got wound up the store dimmed the lights in different sections and that seemed to distract and temporarily calm people. This happened numerous times so definitely a crowd controlling technique.
I was really struck with all the fresh fruit and vegetables just being left. Lots and lots of it and no one really even looking at it or buying it. I did because we will eat it and that beats starting with the canned goods now.
A good marketing test while this is going on is to see what products people will not buy even if it is world ending as they know it. Certain brands of tissue should just close up shop.If you can't sell it now you will never be able to sell it.
Basic products were unattainable. No chicken noodle soup, no pasta, no powdered milk and the price of eggs had shot up.
Anyway there were lots people eyeing my precious cargo. The longer I was there the more unnerving it became. People asked me how much I wanted for it and wanted to rub me for good luck. I've never won a lottery so now toilet paper is more valuable than money. Just my luck right?
The staff looked exhausted. I finally got his medication and as I checked out you can only imagine the comments. On the last time I was asked how much was the paper I replied I don't know or care. I am buying this.
I will admit I was a little intimidated walking in the parking lot as people and cars drove by with everyone gawking at my cargo.
Anyway it is home now and I think I will break it up and use it as currency if we should run short.
