Oh, the hypocrisy of the left. Why are calls for Barr’s resignation not obstruction!

I would like to think the swamp dwellers are afraid. But the “ Andrew McCabe, Ex-F.B.I. Official, Will Not Be Charged in Lying Case” was a kick in the shorts.

On the contrary, when looked at logically, it makes perfect sense. Dan Bongino explained it well.

Do you prosecute a total loser case (because it would be tried in the DC swamp, where the juror pool is stacked bigly against you) like lying, or do you punt, then go all in on huge, real crimes with undeniable evidence?

I don't like it, but it makes sense.

The most important thing that happened yesterday was A.G. Barr naming a 2nd Prosecutor (in Brooklyn) to intake and coordinate the large amount of U.S.-linked corruption evidence, that's being received from Ukraine, Giuliani, and other location.

I dunno, did you forget about his appointing an outside prosecutor to do a full review of the Flynn case?

I'm really looking forward to the leftist TDS hysterics when Trump re-appoints Flynn as his NSA after his re-election landslide.

I was only referring to what occurred yesterday, off the radar.

The same people who signed the letter demanding that Barr step down, signed the same letter demanding that Barr resign, after he said he wouldn't charge the President with anything after Bob Mueller's testimony b4 Congress. They just tweak the content and re-transmit it to the Dept of Justice.

There are groups of former officials/employees who are very afraid.

www.nytimes.com...

The very next day, a new bigger investigation was opened against McCabe, Comey, Strzok and others. Also, Lindsey Graham sent a request to Barr, letting him know that top Obama DOJ/FBI officials will be subpoenaed to testify in Senate hearings that will begin in March.

Just between you and me -- you won't tell, right? -- I hope Trump and Barr force me to hang my head in shame for ever doubting them...

I won't hold my breath! But I would lovelovelove for you to be right and for me to be wrong about this.

Can obstruction happen if there is nothing to obstruct?

That is the 100 million dollar question isn't it? Is a single Trump Tweet or off the cuff statements obstruction if no action is taken and his tweets/off the cuff statements are basically ignored due what they are...

EVERYTHING the man has tweeted has turned out to be true. Every single thing.
Sure he may sound hyperbolic in his tweets, but go do research on what he is saying. You will be surprised!

If there is one thing that defines politics, and politically active people perfectly, it's hypocrisy.

Wow. If there wasn't proof of the shameful direction that ATS has gone, it's posts like this. Fact checking Trump tweets has revealed a mind-boggling number of lies, falsehoods, flip-flops, and misspeaks. The only thing surprising is that his supporters still believe what comes out of his unending ramble/tirades/emotional-ranting over facts. 'Truth' has turned into 'what we like to hear'. Again, wow. The Trump worship is astonishing.

Do you think, that they think, that removing Barr will stop the investigations that he has initiated?

Why do Reeeeepublicans keep trying to make superheroes out of their political leaders?

If Barr is removed somehow (for something he did) then the DOJ will go on with their caseload. And Trump will simply instate another AG that he likes.

I suppose that Reeeepublicans must be in some confusion over this:

Trump: Lindsey Graham a 'disgrace,' 'nut job,' 'one of the dumbest human beings' - Politico

Now the little sycophant is desperately trying to defend Trump.

But Trump won't do anything to assist Barr because:

Barr says Trump tweets 'make it impossible to do my job' amid Roger Stone drama - Faux News

My guess is that Barr isn't the "yes man" Trump expected. He should have guessed it when Barr refused the AG position the first time.

Isnt barr supposed to be locking someone up?

Is he a prosecutor or a defence?

I don't know how he can be both.

Or either

Yep. And that's why you and your people want him stopped at all cost. This is your last stand. Better dig in. You are in for the worst. The DNC may very well be disbanded and destroyed when Barr, and Durham are finished. When you start seeing top DNC, like Hillary and Barack catching a flight to another country, you will know whats coming next. Stay tuned

Time is running out. They are trying to make their hail Mary passes right now, and are fumbling bad

Tick-Tock!

I mentioned that to the wife when we saw it on the news. It is obstruction of investigations against some Democrats when they call on him to resign. But in the minds of the Democrats that is ok, because they only see what they want to see. We have some skitzo people in congress, why do people elect people like that to represent their states? We need sane people in congress, not people who are blind to anything that does not match their desires.

This is about why Pelosi and company want Barr our. Can you make a credible argument why Pelosi wants Barr gone?

My point to the other poster that asked if there was no obstruction caused by words can they still say obstruction happened. With Trump whether his statements are true or not, everyone takes them for what they are and they don't change their actions based on them, so what is he obstructing when he goes flame on in a tweet or off the cuff comment?

OK, kind of out of context as this was during the election cycle. I don't remember Hillary saying Sanders was the best candidate either when they went head to head. Have you read what the 16 candidates have said in the recent past about each other too?

Well, lying to Congress, misrepresentation of the Mueller report and refusing to attend hearings to which he had been subpoenaed might be issues.

But she isn't pushing Barr out, she is trying to appeal to his better instincts and asking for him to resign, which lays the decision entirely in Barr's hands.

Barr has previously shown partiality to Trump but there have also been cracks appearing in Barr's support of Trump recently.

I suppose that the Democrats involved, think the country will be better served by a less obstructive or partisan AG.

Also, Barr's pet theory of 'Unitary Executive Authority' is seen by some (even on the Republican side) as anti-American and anti-Constitutional because it unbalances the established powers between the three branches of government.
