Americans and their politicians need to get their act together. This whole 2 party thing has the people going mad, screaming down eachothers throats. Each side insulting the other, committing violence to eachother. Possibly murdering eachother. Politicians acting more like low IQ entitled children than actual politicians. This whole thing is a joke.

Yes. Unlike conservatives that want to tell people how gay people to live their lives. That have put laws in the books to ban atheists from holding office. Who want to ram abstinence down everyone's throats. That wanted to ban certain types of music and dancing. That want to ban women from having abortions. Banning of pornography.

When I joined I was somewhat intimidated by the level of intelligence here and the ability of members to articulate it.

Now not so much, which is a shame because I know a lot of brilliant minds still log into here but kinda sit back. I mean it's obvious really... If we're scrolling through endless pages of politics where nothing is all that new then we're not really being challenged. I see more reaction than intellectual provocation.

It's a shame really, almost like we're becoming those "sheeple" many on ATS used to despise.

On another note, I kinda like stereotypes. We all understand them so they're an awesome basis to have fun, mock the stupidity and sometimes irony of a stereotype. Because life's too serious to be taken seriously I like to say.

Compromise is usually key, I'm not a fan of extremism but protest is a brilliant tool for getting a point across. She isn't exactly bombing power plants and sinking whaling vessels so she isn't exactly a force for bad.

It should also be common knowledge on ATS that the oil industry and many other international mega corps have shafted anyone they could get away with doing, ATS is filled with conspiracies related to the energy industry, silenced inventions and things like that.

We've cleaned our acts up at home, I advise people to research the fight to get that done. Because often it seems people can forget that the rest of the world ain't so pretty nor were we in the not too distant past.

Often feels like we live in a gated community and the rest of the world is a ghetto just two blocks away. Not many people realise there's uranium buried under the rose bed though... 😂
