There is an F-117 for sale on a Government website. Maybe we could start a collection.

It would make a great camp down by the lake or river. I'll bid a thousand bucks, since it is stripped down to basically a shell.

Before doing that, maybe I should check how much it would cost to move the damn thing and if the county will let me even make it into a camp.

I'll pass on it.

Apparently they can't even leave the atmosphere.

Sigh.

I was thinking we make an ats clubhouse with the beauty.

Instead of a No Girls Allowed sign, we hang a sign that says No Politics in the Clubhouse.

I just showed this to my Missus and even though she knows it's out of my league, she still said 'no' in an aggressive tone,

...She knows damn-well, if I had the coin, that that badboy would be mounted on a plinth, out front,....

I bet north korea, russia, china, a drug lord or anybody with plans to use the tech for "good" use is interested.

What's the mileage like? Do I get to take it for a quick test drive first and does it come with any extras?

No thanks. I've got enough # in my lungs to last a (shortened) lifetime already...

I like the plinth idea. We can all build ourselves a plinth and then crowdsource the airframe and transportation costs and come up with a joint-custody plan for a few weeks of display a year

Only $42,000,000 for a stripped out shell? Since when did the government get in the bargain business? End sarcasm.

No. That's the amount the Air Force paid when new. Hence "Original Acquisition Cost".
