I don't agree with Bernie at all. A democratic Socialist, whatever that is, just won't be where I hang my hopes for the future. But having said that, Bernie has been Bernie as long as he has been Bernie. He did what he was supposed to in order to get where he is with regard to the election. If he gets the shaft again, his people will be pissed.

His people are Antifa and the like.

I find myself in a conundrum about all that. I am firmly against Antifa, but in this one instance, I would understand their anger and not stand in their way if they made a stink over Bernie being shoved aside. They wouldn't be angry at Trump or Trump's people, we would love to run against Bernie. They would be angry at the DNC. Something about the enemy of my enemy........

I think "his people" will be reminded to curb their excesses lest they wish to see their financing go up in smoke.

Cheers

Normal Democrats and Republicans are moderates....the Dems have no moderates and thus no chance
Of course they said that about Trump too, BUT, i think peeps are willing to overlook Trumps retarded antics as long as the econkmy is good. If he would just can the douchebaggery I could like.him more. For now.though....i like.his policies and thats enough.

is it fair to ask the dog not to bark? or the tiger to not display his stripes?

I'm glad he remains predictable. I'd prefer he stopped feeding the machine, but know its likely he will continue.

Part of his behavior is a deliberate deflating of the political party gasbags. President Trump's manner can be crude, but his targets have had it coming for a long time.

Cheers

The only reason trump worked was he came along at a moment when republicans and democrats forgot to keep their shady dealings in the back room because they thought the plebs were to dumb or to cowed to challenge them.

that bombastic boob in the white house struck the right cord for a giant middle finger at the establishment (yes I know he is part of the reason congress is bought and sold like trading cards), and instead of learning from their mistakes they have doubled down on stupid.
============================

I agree with Network, I disagree with pretty much everything Bernie claims to stand for I do think he honestly thinks his policies would help regular americans (which is a nice change), and I dont think he should get screwed again... but we know he will.

His people aren't Antifa.

Antifa is a tiny little extremist fringe group that, well.. basically doesn't do # and gets trumped up as a boogeyman. They do more harm than good for the left by even existing because they're a posterchild.

That flamboyant douchebaggery, while I have never liked it, there is a attention deficit disorder in the public that this plays too.

We need to correct the collective ignorance the leftist have hoisted on us for 40 years or so. Only a handful of the youth think clearly from my observation. They are not taught to reason use the practice of logic or listening to other opinions to grow their knowledge. Echo chambers of 'merica is bad, and the white Marxist idiots saying white man holds black people down by asking them to get ID's type of BS is why they can't see the truth so clearly as those who DO THINK for themselves like so many moderates I see on here. ATS is mostly moderates from my observations.

Not all of Bernie's positions and/or policies are that left leaning.

Many are really good.

Since no politician will ever tick all of my boxes I tend to vote for the ones that either tick more of my boxes or more commonly, those that tick the boxes that I care most about.

I think others may feel the same way, and because of that, I think Bernie has a real shot as long as he doesn't step on his johnson between now and election day.

Worst case, Trump vs. Bernie is a real race. Trump vs Biden is a snooze fest fait accompli for Trump.

Just my $0.02...

You should be glad a socialist like Bernie is being shoved to the side.

We will never have a Socialist President.

The system will always keep Bernie away, Trump is simply highlighting a known established thing, riling up the Dem camp and creating division between the Dems and Bernie Bros, brilliant.

As much as you can say all:

While all Bernie supporters are not Antifa. All Antifa Are sanders supporters

Who do you think the rich white members of Antifa are supporting?

Pretty much this. People on this site act like Bernie just has fringe support. The truth is though is that he is currently the most popular candidate (including Trump) among independent voters. Meanwhile he is far and away the most popular candidate with youth voters, the largest demographic of potential voters.

Something people keep forgetting is that when Bernie won his seat in the House it had been held by Republicans for 50 years. When he won his seat in the Senate it had been held by Republicans for 100 years. He's clearly doing something right if he was able to win positions that were traditionally Republican and hold them. Hell, he's got the highest approval rating of anyone in Congress.

There's a reason why Bernie is now more or less the Dems frontrunner. There's a reason the DNC are scared. People don't flock to Bernie because of "free stuff." It's because he's stood by his convictions for decades and he actually seems to genuinely care about people who har been consistently screwed over by the corporate politicians that seem to plague Washington.

All less than 100,000 of them (I'm guessing but there couldn't be that many active members or else we'd hear about them actually doing things) sure, all voting for Sanders.

Every far right group, militias etc of a similar number of people will be voting for Trump of course. Far left and far right, pretty obvious. What of it anyway?

You really think a group whose core is made up of anarchists actually supports any candidate?

I hope Bernie gets the nomination so that we can finally have a moratorium on the merits of Capitalism versus the merits of Socialism.
