It seems obvious why she is attaching herself to Bernie. It is her way to build up her cred and recognition with Bernie supporters. She is climbing the political ladder and Bernie is at the top and age-wise may not be there forever. She needs to gain his supporters to have some sway against the DNC elites.

It will make it easier for her to attempt to move up into a Senator position especially since her district may become swallowed up in the nearby district after the census. There like Bernie, she can re-group, gain experience, and then after a couple of terms, announce her candidacy for President or be considered for vice President.

I predict it would be at least 12 -16 years any such pursuit for executive position. A lot could happen in that time.

I remember when conservatives were poopin their panties about Obama being a “socialist” before he won in 2008. Turns out he was a neoliberal, drone striking capitalist just like every republican politician he pretended to be at odds with. Sure he had “Obamacare” but y’all have seen what a disaster that was and private insurance is STILL raking in the dough from sick american citizens. Obama wasn’t a socialist. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Bernie, is also, NOT a socialist. He does not believe workers should seize the means of production. He calls himself a democratic socialist, which I know brings great fear into your hearts to hear someone say aloud, but your way of life won’t suffer, as my way of life isn’t suffering because we have a corrupt, sleazy reality TV star as president. I don’t like that he’s president, but he’s president. I accept that. I think this whole impeachment thing is a waste of time.

I would be very surprised if AOC becomes president. Honestly if you guys on the republican side can’t come up with a competent candidate to run against her by the time AOC is old enough to run for president, the poo poo is on YOUR hands.

I didn't say she would leave the party. They are trying to get rid of her by rezoning. So it wouldn't make any sense they would support her as a POTUS nominee if they don't even want her as an elected official.
