Only my Quake Watch blog on Wordpress, which i have to say I do not keep up too well. Been very busy of late despite lockdowns, retirement, etc. I am just in the process of bringing it back up to date now.

Hi! So good to 'see' you again! Things just aren't the same around here anymore!
When I think back to how many pages of posts there were for quakes in places like Arkansas & Fukushima & how many people were posting, it's hard to believe now!
I really miss those good old days!

Wow, Walker Lane is active again. Big quakes working their way into the Long Valley Caldera.

Edit: A good paper on the Walker Lane
How the burgeoning Walker Lane may split the American West

I have started the process of loading all my thousands of seismograms onto a better platform than the current earthquake archives on Wordpress. You can access the seismograms at Archive.QVSData.com

You should be able to easily download any you are interested in. I hope to eventually find a way to automate the upload so it gets updated daily, but you can always ask if some days are missing.

People may be interested in the IRIS Station Monitor app which is available for Android and iPhone. You can zoom in on a station and get a seismogram of the current or earlier days and it seems, although I have not tested it fully yet, that you can go much further back than was possible before.

You can also "favourite" or actually "favorite" stations which gives you a handy list of the ones you are most interested in.

Has an historic events and from those you can get Trace and webicorder images of the effect that the historic event had on the station you are viewing.

Altogether pretty neat!!

Thursday, July 30, 2020: We had a 4.2 earthquake just north of Pacoima in the San Fernando Valley. It struck this morning at 4:20am PDT. It was shallow so it woke up a lot of people, but no damage reported:

Caribbean fault has had little stress relievers on both the east and west ends. Seems like the middle might need a flex.
