Why do you not put any blame on the Democratic party for the division in our country right now?

As a former Democrat all I can see is that particular party trying to tear our country apart just to try to stay in power.

They have already shown by word and deed that they care more for illegal immigrants than our own citizens.

They have shown that if we tank economically they would welcome it.

They no longer represent the majority of America.

So why no real blame there for our fractured nation?

I do place blame on the Democratic party. I place more on Trump because he is the leader. He has the biggest, most influential, platform.

Both parties are doing everything they can to stay in power and it is disgusting. I have no love for either side.

To say that one side has so much love for illegal immigrants is nonsense. It's playing to a love of humanity. It's a stirring of emotionality.

It's bupkus.

America is great. It will continue to be great. Immigrants and all. If you are worried about illegality...look to our President because he is up to it.

As far as Trump goes, he reversed a lot of Obama's stifling regulations and restrictions on business which helped our economy grow. I don't see where those actions destroyed our water, land or air and the historically low unemployment for minorities and best economy in decades is a really good sign that he was right. The trade deals he said were coming are here. The national security he talked about improving has greatly improved.

The reason I ask is because perhaps you're not old enough to clearly remember the election of 2000, and the whole Florida ballot ordeal. The uber divisiveness we have today was born then.

Until then there was always a divide, but there was also civility and compromise. It wasn't Until Bush beat Gore than the left went off the rails starting the hyper partisanship we have today.

Once Obama was elected, it was the right's turn to give as good as they got, and now here we are.

He is like the only President that has felt it is his responsibility to work through his campaign promises checking them off one by one, so I think it is safe to say he does do what he says.
