I'm an unapologetic, non-partisan Independent who can and does vote for both Republicans and Democrats.

I did not vote for Trump or Hillary and found them both to be unacceptable in my opinion. My thoughts then were very much like your thoughts in your OP.

Even though I think Trump is more or less a clown still and don't really care for him, I will however vote for him this time.

Why? Because in the end, when no candidate seems like someone I should vote for, I have to vote based on the outcome of the first term, when it's for a second term. It's undeniable, even with the insane partisan garbage being spewed by even intelligent people, that Trump has succeeded as President. He's put a dent in lowering taxes, the Market is booming, unemployment is at historical lows and in particular historical lows for minorities and he's even got rid of the ACA's mandate, which we knew all along was unconstitutional.

I ran into the same thing with President Clinton in the 90's. Even though I could not stomach that used car salesman/ ambulance chaser/conman, I had to vote for him for his second term. He was actually a great Moderate President, even though his character was so flawed.

When I hire someone to do a job and I've done a lot of hiring in my life, I find the best person for the job and hire them, even if I don't actually like them or being around them. I'd be an absolute idiot to do otherwise. Hiring someone for their personality rather than their skills is a pathway to the bankruptcy court and I see electing someone to run the country as the same. I don't need to like them to vote for them and even more so when they do so well their first term.

I still can't stand Trump. I still disagree with him on some social issues. Even so I would have to be incompetent to vote for anyone other than him considering his opponents. He truly is the lesser of two evils.

He almost shunned time with the architects & other elite leaders. He preferred the common man. He also felt that he got better advice & perspective from the common man.

3. He's not the least bit of a dictator. A dictator would not seek so much input from so many people of all ranks.

When you walk away you’ve got a good idea of what they’re gonna do and how they’re going to do it .

President Trump is a slow-motion montage of bloopers and action stunts. One minute, he is saying some goofy snip, the next minute he is tweeting something else even more off-the-wall, but do you know what? That montage has a lot of big "hell yeah!" action hero moments too. Things like "more Americans employed than ever," "reformed Medicare prescription drug benefits for seniors," the death of Soleimani (a chaotic evil IED generating machine) and record rates of interest in regular people's 401Ks, IRAs and retirement programs.

I'm thinking we're good. Especially if Adam Schiff represents some kind of alternative brand.

your not trusting the MOST TRUSTWORTHY PRESIDENT OF MY 73 YEARS by FAR says a LOT more about you than about Trump.
