Because walking, chewing gum, making policy, tweeting and working at the same time, seems impossible to the liberal/socialist mind without help from the "communalvillage". Doesn't mean it can't be done. Because Pres. Trump can do in two weeks what B.O. couldn't do in 8 years.... Doesn't mean it can't be done.
Hell, Pres. Trump can tweet, Ps off the antiAmerican traitors, play golf and is still a better Pres. than we've had in a long time.

I'll say again, fat can be fixed! The "uniform" is the standard. Men/women can be shaped to fit the standard. This "Col" guy is a hopeless case, and obviously, somewhere in time, became a political hack, unAmerican and traitor to the COTUS. Just like his handlers.
Basically his "argument" is that he wanted to play by "already established policy", but under the "new boss" the policy was/has changed?

Basically, the lower mangement (employees) in "government" believe, they are the "government" and if the boss creates an actual work environment, they need to change bosses.

Has nothing to do with "physical characteristics" tin horn. It has to do with the integrity of the "uniform/standards/duty".
No real Soldier, Sailor, Airman or Marine would wear a uniform to a political event, which with a little ponderings, this was. Not only is it againt regulation? But it is immoral!
The freedom to not agree? Is absolute! But in uniform? Not so much.

The Col. Is a pos and needs to check himself.

Vindman my first impression was "squirrely" and "weasle." After reading this, it just confirms my gut feeling about the guy. He just LOOKED OFF. Like 6th sense or something I have, as well as many others have with people. As a prior active duty and reserve army soldier (2006-2009 active and 2009-2013 reserves), I dont care what uniform you wear. A sh*tbag is a sh*tbag no matter how they try and hide it. Its unfortunate vindman tried to hide it behind all his shiney medals. Vindman is the very personification of the notorious "blue falcon" that nobody likes serving with. Seen plenty of them. You wouldnt want to be down range with because you have a gut feeling they'd freak out under pressure and only look after themselves. Vindman has no integrity or honor. Core values of being a soldier. I would not want to serve with him or under him.

Purple Hearts are enemy marksmanship badges.

They aren't a license to commit sedition.

The US Army, which I left in 2016, has weight standards. Vindman does not meet that standard.

Fat soldiers are a liability.

Only fat ones I ever saw brought something meaningful to the Army. Otherwise no go BOLO on the fatso!

No offense people but it is dangerous to you and your unit to not be in tip top shape in the battle field. As a MASH unit guy they were similar with us. In MOS school at Ft Sam in San Antonio, PT had that 5 mile UH OH Run every few days. I sucked at it. But they did let us wear sneakers or running shoes. However, ol Charlie wasn't gonna wait to let you change boots to sneakers so you could run for your life. We were spoiled a bit.

So, you would be ok with a fat guy, out of breath from running for his life needing your help while a large force surrounds you? I would be concerned for all our safety unless we understand we might have to leave behind those who can't keep up to save the unit. I never got shot at but I know better than to have weak links in a battle situation.

Like other U.S. military officers detailed to the National Security Council, Vindman normally wears civilian clothes in keeping with the council's dress requirements.

But in formally appearing before Congress, Vindman is required to wear his Army uniform, as he did at Tuesday’s hearing at the U.S. Capitol and at his initial, closed-door deposition three weeks ago.

Fatness aside, I think the guy is a traitorous POS. Not everyone who wears a uniform is a patriot, sorry to have to tell you that. So his too-tight uniform doesn't impress me nor does it make me have to respect him.

I know enough about him, from what I have learned (not just from looking at him) that the guy is not impressive in any sense of the word.

Vindman may not really be in the military. His commanding officer wouldn't allow him to lie against the Commander-in-Chief...who happens to be both their bosses.

"A soldier performing duties in an official capacity will normally be in uniform," Col. Kathy Turner, an Army spokeswoman, said in a written statement. "In cases where a soldier is detailed to an agency outside of DOD, the individual would follow the policies of that agency."


Another U.S. official said that Vindman was wearing the appropriate uniform when testifying before Congress.

"I understand now he wears his uniform when he goes in," to appear before Congress, President Donald Trump noted during a Cabinet meeting at the White House that occurred while Vindman was on Capitol Hill. -

I really think that the vocal majority of trump supporters on here are grasping at straws with the fat and uniform attacks. I really think they are just trying to vilify and drag the guy through the mud because of their blind loyalty towards Trump. If Vindman is lying then he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as should Trump. If Vindman is a spy then hang him.

It really does seem that some people are willing to drag military through the mud according to their political leaning or their speaking out against trump. People like McCain, the gold star families and now Vindman get attacked and on the other hand people will rally behind the guys Trump pardoned.

It's hard to look at things in a non partisan light but that's what we should all be doing and not just defending every move your government or leaders make and on the other hand not bashing everything our leader makes because "orange man bad"
