Chang'e 4 Team Just Released New Pics of Our Moon's Far Side

Chang'e 4 has been on the Moon just over a year taking pictures and trundling about 1,150 feet across the Moons far side , if they found bases they aint telling but they have released a load of images for our consumption.


The pictures are handily compiled Here by astronomer Doug Ellison.

As part of the mission, the lander and rover have been taking photos. Oodles of photos. It's been a photostravaganza. And the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program has just released a new batch of data from the mission's instruments, after amassing an image library of thousands of files.

In addition to radar and infrared spectrometry data, the release includes high-resolution images of the lunar surface from Chang'e 4's landing camera and terrain camera, and Yutu 2's panoramic camera.

Get back to us when they find the extraterrestrials supply base. I'm curious to see their long range super-weapons hidden there.

That's a bit vague, NASA'S Moon orbiter has been monitoring the Chang 4 rover for some time, so what exactly are you saying?

Far side of the Moon?
I thought it was the Darkside of the Moon....

They live in the old lava tunnels and there aren't many on lunar farside. But in one of the images you can see a very clean crater high on a ridge.

Kind of an odd little thing in one of the images. Unusually shiny. Don't think it's part of the mission. I've enlarged it too much because it's not that blocky.
