They were both on the same flight back from China..

Public health officials have said the woman's husband, a man in his 50s, had been showing mild symptoms on his flight from Guangzhou, China, to Toronto.

You should post more, I mostly lurk too, I just really love this topic and it looks like it will be around for awhile. It always helps to learn from people in the field. Plus we can correct each other if we mess up, I usually pull from memory or experience and that’s never 100% lol.

Round table is always best. LOL! Thanks for the encouragement! I always get a little nervous posting on threads like this as we have some really impressive people and my knowledge base is limited. AND having been out of school for 23 or so years, I've forgotten more than I know now.
But, I'm happy to jump in and help where I can.

You've posted some really good stuff on this thread, by the way. Very nice work!

YES it is indeed a very villainous plot lol.

And yeah its a scary thing what bio-terrorists are capable of. I will say that even if this is all an over reaction, it has at least been an eye opening event.

Here is what happened in a Winnipeg Manitoba Canada Level 4 bio lab in July..make of it what you like...
Link

"A Canadian government scientist at the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg made at least five trips to China in 2017-18, including one to train scientists and technicians at China's newly certified Level 4 lab, which does research with the most deadly pathogens, according to travel documents obtained by CBC News.

Xiangguo Qiu — who was escorted out of the Winnipeg lab in July amid an RCMP investigation into what's being described by Public Health Agency of Canada as a possible "policy breach" — was invited to go to the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences twice a year for two years, for up to two weeks each time."

"Several of them, who asked not to be identified for fears of retribution, say there have always been questions about Qiu's trips to China — and what information and technology she was sharing with researchers there.

"It's not right that she's a Canadian government employee providing details of top-secret work and know-how to set up a high-containment lab for a foreign nation," one employee said.

The staff member claims RCMP officers have not yet interviewed key people at the lab, because senior management has not made them accessible to police or allowed staff to contact them with relevant information."

Looks like a conflict of interest and policy breach. She could’ve shared samples but those are verified daily and agencies are notified when that happens.

Surprised they botched the background check. Civilian side you need a clearance comparable with Secret or Top Secret depending on the work you do and it’s done by the FBI in the states under direction of the CDC. We notify if an animal count, sample count or log discrepancy occurs.

If she was paid for services she could be going to jail, people are motivated by all kinds of things, especially money. We have these problems in the military from unexpected personnel as well.

Sounds like, hopefully 🙏 espionage, essentially. This person was more or less selling procedures and internal processes to a smaller lab trying to make it big.

That's my non CT answer.

Who knew Africa sends students to China for Schooling ???
With nearly 5,000 students in Wuhan, African governments are bracing for China’s coronavirus

......Some African students have traveled back to their country of origin during the holiday vacation. Two days ago, a 34- year old student arriving on a flight from Beijing to the Ivory Coast was hospitalized after displaying flu-like symptoms. She is currently still in the hospital for testing.

Other students have opted to stay in China during the holiday, in order to conserve time and financial resources. They are facing the fallout from the deadly virus along with the rest of China’s worried populous.....

....The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation announced on Monday that it will issue $5 million in funding to China and is partnering with public and private actors to help contain the spread of the virus as well as $5 million to assist the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

China's been busy building Chinese cities on the African continent for awhile now. You saw how hard it was for the Africans to police themselves and keep ebola contained.

The Wu-Flu ... with an extended incubation period - while a carrier is as contagious as all-Hell-breaking-loose ... is going to wreck Africa. It's just a matter of time.

If this was a biological warfare let loose on purpose or by accident, I would think you would have a lot more deaths. Granted the numbers from China likely aren't accurate, but I would think you'd want people to die faster in biological warfare.

If people are surviving the virus outside of China, it could mean that modern medical is able to provide a solid response to the virus if people are treated. But with Wuhan area being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers, the deaths are a result of not being cared for, either in a time fashion or not at all.

Most of the deaths have been in the area of Wuhan. A few isolated cases elsewhere. You could say, well, they have more infected people, significantly more, and that is why you have most of the deaths there. But, if all those people had the same treatment that others are getting in other locations around China and other places around the world, would they have died?

While this is a conspiracy forum... I feel like perhaps we are taking things a little too far with all this. Honestly, I hope our theories of it overtaking the globe are wrong. The other day, I got all caught up reading a long thread on here about the Kristin Smart case and read pages and pages of that thread only to get toward the end and find out the whole thing was a hoax call not from the FBI. I felt duped, I felt my time was wasted. While I don't want to think that my time will be wasted following all the virus news, while the rest of the country is focused on impeachment, kobe, and the cares of the world.... and we wonder why MSM isn't covering this to the degree that WE think it should be because we wasted our weekend reading this thread and researching and finding data points, etc.

While Im not a huge participant on this forum, it has been my go to place for various news over the last 12 years, and while in the last few years, I've been rather disappointed, this thread renewed my interest in the forum overall.

A bioweapon doesn't have to kill everyone to be successful. Look at what it is doing to China economically right now.

Plus, it could have been an accidental release of a bioweapon that was not finished being designed.

Both Texas A&M and Baylor students tested negative for the virus. That's good news!

Haven't heard a single thing about the other two supposed suspected cases. Or even if we still have two other pending virus cases..

From former FDA Commissioner, Dr. Scott Gottlieb:

"First, the epidemic in China is likely much broader than official statistics currently suggest. A lot of mild cases probably remain unrecognized. Even a lot of severe cases are unreported since diagnostic tests were only recently deployed to the front lines of China's healthcare system. Second, global spread appears inevitable. So too are the emergence of outbreaks in the U.S., even if a widespread American epidemic can still be averted. When pockets of the outbreak arrive on our shores, we shouldn't have undue panic. But we need to be ready."

Remember this.

You've got great pictures of the construction. When they fire up the furnaces for the crematoriums, do you think you'll get pictures of the smoke plumes as clearly?

No. You won't. For some reason, you'll never be allowed to see that. That reason is: they won't want you to see it.

ETA: And, here's another clue. Take a SWAG at how much water an infection control center uses. Do you see any groundwork being done to bring all that water in?

If you were using it as a bioweapon you wouldnt want it to kill fast, if it kills too fast it doesnt spread.
