Well, in the Event 201 scenario there was a suggestion that we needed to maintain a war footing during a pandemic. That suggestion was made by American CDC.

At least it looks like the death rate from this virus is very low compared to amount who actually have the virus! Is this false reporting on the actual death stats? I think its more than that actually dead.

Or its similar to normal flu, deadly to some.

It is understood the patients were staying in a hotel in Yorkshire, before being taken overnight to a specialist centre in Newcastle.

When was the last time you heard a city getting shut down because of the flu? Black Plague maybe?

The WHO and CDC have called it a global emergency.

Migraines pretty much all my life, but I'm stable at the moment. They went chronic on me during my college years. I barely hung on to finish out my athletic eligibility, and then the bottom fell out for a long time until I finally found a doctor with enough sense to refer me on to an actual specialist.

He's since retired, but before he did, we got me stable and no longer chronic.

They have, but for the moment that means nothing more than opening the doors to resource sharing. For most of us, it means nothing much.

Let's be real. As far as air travel goes, airline workers going on strike is doing more to restrict air travel over this than the actual governments are in many cases.

We will see next couple of weeks if there are any deaths in outside China. Chinese are very reluctant to visit real doctor when they are sick, they rather go and seek traditional medicines for their symptoms. Most of the deaths has been among older people.

I'm always checking on ATS, but never participate anymore. The reason I'm active again, is to help everyone remember the Chinese Ghost Cities from year's back! Sadly, I can't make a topic of my own on this. So here I am.

My theory is that the so-called hospitals aren't build in Wuhan, but at one of these ghost cities! All the video's supposedly leaking out of an empty Wuhan, could then possibly come from these ghost cities aswell.

I find it highly curious that a city of 11 million was it(?), is completely empty. I don't buy the ''everyone's inside'' story.

But, what would be the reason to do this? Is it to cover up millions of dead bodies lying on the streets in Wuhan? Is it to cover up mass cremations aswell?

I'm looking for anyone willing to create a topic on this, since I can't do this myself. We must research this. See if there's any Ghost City images available which look like the background of these ''hospital'' sites.

Who knows, maybe they even modeled one to look like Wuhan, then filled it with whatever (cars, shops etc), to fool us. That would make this a plan which was made years in advance.

It's obvious the severity of this virus is much more serious than we're being told, but what if Wuhan has already been completely wiped out? If there were no hospitals being build and people (agents) here and there making a video, we would question why there was no info coming from Wuhan. It would be a perfect cover up of the beginning of a mass die off.

Again, can somebody please make a topic on this.

Sky news (uk) are currently live streaming the plane that arrived in Brize Norton, watching the 'patients' walk off the plane, carrying children etc. Theyve got along coach journey now to where they are being quarantined. They will have a police motorbike escort.

I'd love to hear official interviews with people who have come from Wuhan, to certify or deny what we are all worried about. But so far, other than those few sentences from Dicky Julius in S.A about people dropping like flies, they seem to be non existent. No one is saying what it's like.. be it better or worse than what we are all seeing on Twitter etc.

Again ... the death rate can be low and this still be an emergency situation.

All it takes is a disease serious enough and fast enough to knock a significant portion of population on their butts for a week or three. Even if most of them aren't going to die, you are still looking at possible disruptions to the thousand and one things that make a society move because too many people are sick to make it happen.

Now if a good number of those who get sick all at once need medical care and support to pull through? Most communities will not have enough hospital space or medical staff to make it happen. Let's be plain - many of the medical staff will be coming down sick too and flat on their backs.

And that's all before you get to the dying, and people will die. It may not be a large percentage overall, but it will be enough to seem like it, and they will go all at once, and the deaths won't necessarily confine themselves to the usual demographics for something like this - very old, very young.

All of that adds up to social breakdown, supply disruption and panic.

I was just saying that the death rate is very low at this time unless reports are false.

213 deaths from almost 10k is very low at this time but we'll wait and see what developes

There is a tradition in China where a large scale public disaster is time for a change in government. The leadership is fighting for its survival.

Thinking about this, if there was nothing out of the ordinary going on there, why wouldn't they come out and say it?
But if there are people dropping in the streets, maybe they have been told to keep their mouths shut, to avoid creating panic.
Who knows? It sure would be nice if they said something at least.

It's funny, I thought of that, also. There was a photo of a hospital that was supposedly built in 16 hours that Chinese news were praising. Turns out they lied and it was actually a stock photo of an apt building. Incredible.

It's definitely worth looking into.
