Yeah I cherry pick the title . But what a title !

Talk about click bait. šŸ˜¬

The LED grow lights are purple in color to give plants light across the spectrum.

Then just when I was having fun reading the article I got a groan moment.

Some people complained about light pollution, while others said it was pretty.

I hate humans they ruin everything .

Itā€™s located in ā€œsnowflakeā€ Arizona.

So I shouldā€™ve seen the light pollution thing coming .

The lights look purple from a distance, but it's normally nothing like this.
Water droplets in the low-lying fog reflected the light, which made it spread across the sky.

In Air Force terminology thatā€™s called swamp gas.

if you remember the 70s you werenā€™t there

you are incorrect, Marijuana causes purple haze. A particular strain with a very distinct taste and effect. Almost a magical anomaly, or so some guy told me.

Jesus wept, I thougt they were talking about the lyrics of Purple Haze. Well being as I lived through the 60s and 70s I can safely say that 80% of the music at that time was drug related. And no I'm not going to name them as I can't remember as sometimes the Heebie Jeebies had me.

I have no clue about this thread and won't read it, but you say Hendrix and marijuana in same sentence and I'm in.

Well, lights at night are not good for plants in nature. I do not know what those purple lights will do though. I do know that the LED lights are much worse than the old streetlights on the trees in close proximity to the light.

But if the light is a couple of hundred feet away from the trees, I think the negative effects will be reduced to a somewhat better level. But I am not a botanist, so I do not really know for sure.

The threat ainā€™t you moving much so how about some music .

Yup

I got a hankering to play some 60s and 70s music.

But because of what you said I donā€™t know if itā€™s a good idea ?

Because of what you said in the thread title Brewer and Shipley would be the perfect fit .

If one "remembers" the 70s , they were not there.

Or they might be taking another avenue. I did a rough draft and I must be doing something wrong .

It takes 10,000 ft.Ā² to produce 400 pounds of marijuana in a greenhouse .

Thereā€™s about 40,000 ft.Ā² to an acre .

Thereā€™s 40 acres of green houses on there .

400 lbs
X. 4 per acre
= 1600
X. 40 acres
= 64,000
X 4 Low end of crop yields
= 256,000
X 2,000 per pound
= 512,000,000
ā€” .30% cost ( return on investment )
= $358,400,000 net per year

Thatā€™s a very rough tally and it doesnā€™t include capital investment on land or infrastructure . Just the grow cost with utility included .

Like I said thatā€™s got to be wrong.

What did I do ?

Snowflake is east of Phoenix and itā€™s barely a town. Not a bad little place to stop if you have time on the drive to Payson from Phoenix.

Havenā€™t seen the purple sky but Iā€™ll ask some of my coworkers who live in eastern Phoenix metro area they probably have.
