WOW!!!!!!!

The Son Doong Cave is the largest known cave by cross-section in the entire world – it's a place like you've never seen before. The cave contains its own flowing river, its own jungle, its own ecosystem, and is home to a treasure trove of mysteries. It's also believed to be between 2 and 5 million years old.

AMAZING! I'm sure many of you have heard of this before, but for me it's the first time and I'm sure a first for others as well. What a beautiful and wondrous place.

I love a good cave.
Like the Giant Crystal Cave in Naica, Mexico.

Great post.

The entrance to Agartha?

Nah, but its fun to imagine.

It has its own species of monkey among other animals and plants.
Amazing

Really cool! Caves and their unique flora and fauna have always interested me. I had heard of this cave but never knew of the many ecosystems it contains. Thanks for sharing. Any spelunking enthusiasts here to weigh in?

Wow what a very unique and cool place!

I can only imagine what type of fossils could be discovered in such a vast hidden eco-system.

Thanks 'Night Star' for introducing me to something very awesome!

Magical places. And what happy coincidence to find one before the storm.

I forget the name of the show I saw recently but it's one of those adventure shows where the guy goes looking for extinct/rare animals. He took an expedition in there to try and find, IIRC, a four legged animal, about the size of a Labrador.

Don't think he found it but I watch a lot of that stupid stuff so maybe he did. Still, those shows are cool to see places like this so I'll watch them even if they are sometimes completely stupid.
