But to single the UK out is highly inaccurate, there has been an avalanche of similar instances in many countries around the world, including the US.
The US is not immune from this inane disease.

As a bit of an aside; I travel around the UK quite a bit and I have quite a large circle of friends and associates etc from all walks of life and guess what, not one person I know has actually witnessed or experienced first or even second hand something like this.
We seem to read a bit about it.....but no-one actually see's it.

But I am sick to death of the PC Brigade and snowflake hyper sensitivities and their invasion and influence on MSM and the political class.

JK Rowling defended a person's professional quality as an employee who has an unpopular opinion and is being punished because of politics. There's no indication that her work ethic suffered for having such opinions and no reason to criticize her as a citizen let alone terminating her. Rowling disagrees with the basis for removing the lady and I personally find it hard to rebuke her for that.

I just stopped talking to anyone at work or refer to them as if they are third person. It avoids all questions of pronoun.

- the british court, who ruled against her, are known to be a quite conservative and traditional lot, hardly some backroom bar of flaming homosexuals so do you suppose it might be possible she could have been proven to be in the wrong? ;o

However, given the disproportionately high rate of mental and emotional disorders in the transgender population, I certainly understand why you would go there. Because it is a source of pain and trauma in the trans population. Which is a very legitimate concern, and gender "affirmation" is not the end-all-be-all that it is touted to be... that we are being forced to believe. It is harmful.

No pretense and no dementia on MY part. Unfortunately, because of the nature of the beast, it is necessary to defend against and fight back the activism, and the harm it causes to women and girls especially, but also trans persons themselves.

In fact, I am (and have been) working on a thread all about desistance and detransition sources for the MANY MANY folks who wholly (and too often painfully) regret their transition, and have very serious concerns for OTHERS who are being led to make harmful medical decisions that adversely affect the rest of their lives. The horror stories from "bottom" surgery are unconscionable.

I hope and pray that these folks find a way to be happy and at peace with themselves some day. I also hope with all my heart that these folks find a way to sue the frankenstein doctors -- and other professionals -- doing this to them for every freaking penny they ever earn... that might help them find their peace too. I hope the backlash and fall out absolutely ruins every single person responsible for these medical travesties.
