So far here's what has happened,
Qasem Soleimani killed
Right thousands more troops are being deployed to the region.
Democratic backlash

My predictions -

Gas prices going up - I bet my pinky finger on this
Maybe some terrorist attacks in ME & quite possibly a few homeland attacks?
Democratic backlash will sway in opposite direction - nothing brings us closer together than being attacked, right?
Cyber attacks - I think this is already happening on a much larger scale than is being shown to the mass public
US sends even more troops
US starts to go into a recession with fragile states falling first and hard (Illinois, NY, Pennsylvania, etc.)

I don't expect to see many changes in the ME. I'm betting Iran is at a total loss on how to react They may talk about retaliations but they just got a taste of of what Trump will do and they'll be chewing on that for awhile.

At home, half the country will be bitching while the other half celebrates. Nothing new there.

Iraq is the size and had about the population of New Jersey. Iran is more like the size and population of California. Iran has 13 factories capable of making weapon's grade aluminum tubes with good enough quality to be used in centrifuges.

It's okay. Mankind destroying itself is really inevitable. People love war and killing more than anything else. It is simply not going to end well for our species. Nature will start over here or somewhere else.
