Don't give in!!..Drink, Puke and do it again!

BTW: your way off topic....

I though I personally defined "off topic".

It's my thing!

The Mods give me little love letters thanking me for it all the time!

OK.

For the record, I don't "puke".

That's gross.

I leave the party for a bit and come back suspiciously whiter.

So back on topic...

um...

You Sir are full of #

Happy New Year!

I resemble that remark.

Happy New Years...2020... where hindsight rules!

I'm the same way...

I explain away the post-puke drooling, as an overwhelming desire to drink more of what made me puke, in the first place.

My friends are all idiots, so it isn't a hard sell...

My KATS Great resolution is to lighten up a little more.

Not to be so serious with lengthy posts on the nature of man and his relationship with God.

I'll try not to write boring topics on physics and Euclidean Mathematics.

Maybe, instead of always being polite and kind, I'll try to mix it up a bit.

I am immune to your sarcasm as Sheldon would say.

My KATS resolution is to NEVER remodel a kitchen again!!

NEVER!!

EVER!!

NEVER!!

P.S. - I used to be a tough guy, but this has reduced me to a sniveling little girl.

NOTE - If you ever want a cool kitchen, listen to this advice. Build the foundation of your house, and then start building your kitchen. Build the entire freaking house around your kitchen!!! If you ever want to change that kitchen....MOVE!! SERIOUSLY! Just MOVE!

Most miserable, relentless, unbearable thing you can ever do is remodel a kitchen in an existing house!!!

NEVER.. AGAIN!

I'd have to go add it up, but I think we're at least $30k into this kitchen and were not done yet, AND, I've done all the plumbing, electrical, framing and finish carpentry (cabinets). I've only hired contractors for the mechanical (hood and make-up air) and stove install (because it's propane and I don't like messing with propane (seriously dangerous!!)). That only cost about another $5k. Oh, and the granite, that's another $7k.

According to the market and estimates, this kitchen would cost about $150k, and we'll get it done for about $45k, but it was NOT easy!! This project sucked out my will to ever engage on another home improvement project. Just pure misery! I tell the wife, her $105k savings is the price she's got to pay for listening to me cuss and swear like a sailor.

(Unbeknownst to her, I've actually enjoyed the project, hard as it is. My biggest challenge has been her reminding me how much of it is still hanging over our head and not done yet, and that's the hardest part. I get it though, she just wants it done. So, recently, I've started engaging her to help with things. Just the up and down on the knees has given her a new perspective on just how hard everything is. That, and up and down the stairs.

Anyway, enough about that.

Happy New Year, everyone! 2020 will be better!
