Never Judge a Book by it’s Cover

Funny story. I just stopped in the local gun store to buy some ammo because me and my stepbrother are going shooting this afternoon. It’s only open from 9-2 on Sundays so I decided to go down there early. Anyway, the guy who always runs the counter is a die-hard Trump supporter. Every time I’m in there he’s expounding on the evil liberal media and how Donald Trump is being framed. I usually just laugh and nod and humor him, I don’t want to make an enemy out of the man I buy my ammo from.

Anyway, today there is this big redneck guy standing by the counter just leaning and talking to people. I’m talking probably 6’5 300 pounds, carharrt jacket, boots and everything. The guy at the counter starts in on his usual Donald Trump love fest, and the big redneck guy says out loud “I hate that muther###%%#”. “He cozys up to dictators that hate America, and pushes away all of our allies. I have kids man, and I don’t want them watching his bull####.” “He’s a mob boss, that’s all he is. He doesn’t care about America. He lies about everything.” Then he started ranting about Fox News and how they’re brainwashing the guy. Then the guy working the counter mentioned Glenn Beck, and that really set the redneck guy off. They get into a heated argument, both of them are so angry they’re shaking.

I’m just standing there, like damn. Lol. There I am, long hair, Vans, dressed in all black looking like an Anti-Fa terrorist and me and this big redneck guy are agreeing on politics. I tell him he’s right about everything he said, I buy what I needed, said thanks and walked out of the store laughing to myself.

Moral of the story, never judge a book by its cover. This was the last thing I was expecting to witness this morning. I know it’s wrong to judge a book by its cover like that but living in Tennessee you kind of expect that kind of person to be gung-ho Trump.

But that’s not what happened. I have to remember there’s people of all walks of life who see this crap administration for what it is. I had a little hope restored in my country today.

Its not one way or the other, like black and white...and it's not the grey inbetween....ITS A THIRD EXPLANNATION

As we see the third explanation try to pan out over time...though Trump didn't help taxes or get the Clinton's or repeal dodd frank.....we have to see how the global fundamentals end up.

I don’t think God had a lot to do with Trump getting elected. I think it’s that other thing.

No one is taking away anyone’s guns. The issue provides too much political capital for both sides. They’d be stupid to throw away a wedge issue that’s benefiting both parties.

Both sides will continue talking about it from their vantage points. Democrats will talk about regulating guns to engage their voters, and Republicans will use that as evidence of the evil “demonrats” as you put it to keep people like you in their corner.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

Have you been listening to anything about gun rights in Virginia lately?
I am keeping my eyes on this one for sure.When demonrats talk about
gun regulation it will eventually become gun confiscation.I am not a

Yes. And that’s exactly what I’m talking about. You have people on this very forum claiming there’s going to be a big gun grab because of one politicians statements. That’s by design. It’s part of the game of politics, and the only people it hurts is us, the citizens of this country by turning us against each other.

But it helps ensure their power, so that’s what they’re going to do. Logistically, there’d be no way in hell gun confiscation could work in this country. But that’s not going to stop politicians on both sides from using it as a wedge issue.

And none of that makes what Donald Trump is doing ok. To look the other way on what Trump is doing is to ok that same behavior from Democrats.

I would never vote for any democrat that has hair like trump. That's "clown hair" on anyone regardless of political affiliations.

I look like an old hippie chick and wear Vans as well. I didn't vote for Trump but he IS my President. I don't listen to FOX news or CNN or MSNBC any more because they are ALL trying to brainwash the American people and they are succeeding!

Nobody, including Trump, is all good or all bad- but you have let the MSM brainwash you into thinking otherwise. Trump does good things and bad things and yet all the left sees is the bad and all the right sees is the good. He's not the Devil and he's not the Messiah, he is only a man trying to do the hardest job in the world.

Whether you like it or not the people elected him. If you don't like that rally everyone you know to vote against him in the next election but be aware that with the crazy Socialist crap coming out of the mouths of all of his prospective opponents the chances are really good that he will be re-elected. Just as Trump was originally elected due to a vast number of people voting AGAINST Hillary there will also be a vast number of people voting AGAINST socialized medicine and Green Deal policies in the next election.

I've said before that most, if not all politicians lie, and are guilty of hypocrisy. But it's mho that Trump, for all his faults, is better than the dems by a longshot.

As for excusing what he's done, it's my belief that the dems have done far, far worse. Just my opinion.

I don’t watch the news. The only person who has informed my opinion of Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Listening to the words out of his mouth. Watching him stand at a podium in front of the entire world next to Vladimir Putin and say he believes him, because he said so. Over our own intelligence agencies.

Watching him at his rallies whipping the crowd into a violent frenzy against other Americans. People like me who realize a shady billionaire that would step over them if they were dying on the street isn’t my friend, or cares about anything that doesn’t have to do with his own personal quest for power.

Donald Trump and people like him aren’t friends of America. They’re only using it for whatever they can get out of it. And if that means fracturing America, it’s all in the game to them. He isn’t the first but he damn sure is the loudest.

Don’t ask me to respect someone like that.
