Michael Bloomberg has officially announced his
2020 Presidential Bid Sunday morning.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg officially entered the 2020 race Sunday, ending several weeks of will-he-or-won’t-he speculation about a late entry into the already-crowded Democratic primary.

"I’m running for president to defeat Donald Trump and rebuild America," Bloomberg said on his campaign website. "We cannot afford four more years of President Trump’s reckless and unethical actions. He represents an existential threat to our country and our values. If he wins another term in office, we may never recover from the damage."

www.nbcnews.com...

This is going to throw a wrench into the Democrat's
den of politicians who have gained their wealth
through pandering to the Soros funded leftists.

Bernie Sanders is already screaming about it.
Comedy gold!

Whether you like him or hate him, Bloomberg
has some things to offer to those Democrats
who are not willing to throw their money to
the wolves quite yet. Namely Wall Street and
corporate America.

Question is, will he be any kind of a challenge
to President Trump? Personally, I don't see that,
although it really depends on if the Democrat
establishment will throw any weight to him.

Others might say he is entering the race to
throw it to Trump. In any case, it seems it
is going to upset Bernie, Warren and Bdien.

Bloomberg's platform so far? He is going to defeat Trump.

So...what does ATS think?

Will he?

I think this is going to be as meaningful as Deval Patrick.

His gun stance and Elitist views mark his campain for instant failure.

Oh and dont forget nanny statist issues like the size of folks sodas.

Oh, is he in? I read that Obama was putting his
money on Patrick, but was not aware he was
officially in?

Yes, he announced last week, apparently not with enough fanfare for it to appear on most folks radar.

His 1st event was canceled, 2 people showed up

Oh my.
I looked it up, he is officially in.

Time will tell, I personally think that Bloomberg
would rather see Trump as Potus over any of
the other Dems.

How far we’ve fallen to think appeasing Wall Street and corporate America is the way to go.

Well mind you, that is certainly not my stance.
I think that Wall Street needs a deep dive cleanse.
But there are plenty of wealthy democrats who will not
vote for Bernie or Warren, this is just a fact.

The crap he pulled in New York won’t fly in the rest of the country. He is an authoritarian nightmare who thinks he knows best for us. He is the antithesis of freedom and individual rights and a threat to the Constitution. I would literally choose Bernie Sanders over him.

The more the merrier, it’s fun to watch them eat their own as they accuse Trump of everything they’re guilty of.

I can’t wait for Hillary to come galloping in on her high horse and attack the next one she’s really afraid of.

Let the scandals and exposure of character continue!

Transparency ahoy!

I doubt he will win the primary unless someone drastic occurs. The Left is not going to support a centrist during the primary.

But if he where to win he would likely have the best chance out of the lot to defeat Trump. He seems like a man why can stand up to Trumps chaotic approach to politics; Birney, Warren, Biden and Pete won't know how to deal with Trump and so will be at a disadvantage.

Oh thank God!
Finally the Democrats have someone who can lead our country out of the dismal economy Trump has brought with his idiotic policies.
Bloomberg can work on the the unemployment numbers, especially the black and Hispanic communities.
Those pesky gun rights can finally be addressed and foreign policy can get back on the right track.
Whew, I can actually hear the collective sigh of relief from the Democrats.
I am looking forward to the Presidential debates, they will be must see TV!

Agreed 100%

"Give me your money and your guns"

But in reality, I think there are Democrats that if
they have to choose between the two, they are
going to keep their money first.

And Bloomberg will give them that.

Are these two on his 'Itty Bitty' Campaign Committee?

I'd like to know what his explanation for being in such 'esteemed' company might be?

I cannot imagine a way that this campaign would end positively for Bloomberg.
Really, what is he thinking?
The list of absurdities is way too long to list, he has ZERO chance of anything on a national level. He should have figured that out a long time ago. It should make for great comedy,.

I am looking forward to how the polls look with Bloomberg and that other lad from Virginia in the mix.
I am expecting they will be a source of much humor!

Speaking of the devil! Who is the other
gal in the tiger spots?

This could actually work in his favor, he rubs
elbows with all of the wrong...er ...right people.

The IC community likes that, people they can control.

Looks like he is perfectly positioned to rub something else. One of the few times being short is an advantage.
