The Lie About The Lack of Diversity In Media.

The Liberal News Media and that one actress who appeared at the Oscars who falsely proclaimed that Hollywood lacks "Diversity" has lied to many Americans.

Did you know? that BET a TV channel exists? it the Black Entertainment Television (BET) which had being founded and created on July 1, 1983 and now owned by Viacom Media Networks. It has being running for at least 35 years now.

There had being some notable protests by some agaisnt the BET network by the African communities for what they say its stereotypes of African Americans. And a lot of these such protest had never being followed by the mainstream news media.

Why are some in Hollywood elitists pushing diversity in people's throats when channels like BET have zero diversity and are full of stereotypes and the channel gets no criticism from the media?

If Hollywood would produce good stories with strong characters no one would care who plays the roles. The problem is their crap product and not lack of diversity.

they can't hardly make any good shows anymore. they have been making those sorry azz reality shows for so long now, that they have forgotten how. and when they do make a good one if it doesn't have any strong rating after 6 episodes they can it.

BET caters to a specific audience, as does Telemundo. As does MTV and Hallmark. What's wrong with that? There's good money in catering to an audience.

Hollywood elitists can push whatever they want on whoever will pay attention. It usually appears to be a "preaching to the choir" situation, anyways.

The problem with BET is that they have many Racist Slurs which had being foretold by Media you can not use them but networks like BET get uncensored when it comes to slurs and other racist tones.

I get bothered by this. The reason being, look at the statistics of race in the US. 60% of the population is white so one could expect that at least that percentage of Hollywood crap would be too.

But there’s plenty of proof that the tv & film industry has its own elite rulers, and as well works with the FBI to establish topic and agenda. One could argue it is weaponized to do all sorts of socially cancerous things.

More non whites will hopefully be inspired to break into the industry and do great things. Like Jordan Peele, for example.

Should you perhaps actually IDENTIFY the actress you’re referencing? Maybe give a quote from her rather than your stilted summation?

You offer the existence of BET as evidence that we have all the diversity in media/entertainment that “this actress” was calling for?

Do you realize that’s almost a purely tokenized argument? Do you realize that “diversity” means variety within a system? Not that there are separate systems that cater to different classes or categories.

Tired of the way media is being produced? Don't whine, make your own movies and TV shows. Digital has changed everything. If you have a story to tell, shoot it with your phone. Every thing you see in Movies or TV had to be written by somebody. It's a digital world, wide open to creative, courageous people taking action rather than crybaby about what is wrong with media.

BET was founded because of the lack of diversity on television and Hollywood. Remember, at one point, MTV wouldn't' even play R&B and hip hop. I don't particularly care for BET because I feel like they rely on negative images too much, but to act as if minority groups don't have their own niches is also ignorant.
