Water sounds from laptop

One of two things come to mind, and neither are related to the speakers -- either shock protection on your HDD kicked in, or you jostled the fan real good. Having replaced my own laptop fan due to it sounding like playing cards in bike wheel spokes, it's more likely your sound was from the HDD.

Reboot it and see how it runs. If it runs normally without any issues, it was probably the shock protection doing it's job.
