It would be an honor but please allow me to remake it with a little more effort. This was just a silly attempt but I would love to create that smooth effect as with that cat.

@NightStar, you always find the most gorgeous things to post about, and this is no exception. Love it. And the story to go with it, I know how he feels, I still have an urn with the ashes of my little mister, with a tuft of fur hanging off a thread on it.. sometimes a stray that adopts you can become something that has so much meaning... my friend, my companion.. still missed. Feline leuk.

@Operation Mindcrime, I'd love to see that too. My avatar already has the most cute and fuzzy smooth effect on him lol stoopid horse...

Watched the video of the traveling topiary cat and one really struck me.
The one of the cat sleeping to the left of the castle.

Gives a new meaning to the name

Okay...this is proving more difficult than it first seemed. The trick is to find an existing structure that already kind of has the shape you want to wrap your image around. I'll try and find a structure that I can wrap you around....so far I managed to get your image on a lawn...lol



I made the resolution so big big that the org. JPEG ended up being 10Mb so I had to reduce it and lost a lot of detail...all-in-all a fun project!!!

I'll keep you updated on progress

Okay...so we got texture down. Now I was playing with shapes...

Here's a Nightstar tree...



Next step is looking for a shape which has the right texture...this is fun!!

I am seriously enjoying the learning experience from the idea of you topic. As a photoshop amateur I am always glad to find new things to experiment with.

I'm sorry to have been hijacking your thread though but I was sooooo done with political threads and the Avatar Creation Thread is somewhat quite atm....lol

I am still fooling around with this concept but if you want to keep your thread clutter-free I could post the result in the avatar thread or PM you the result if you want.
