There are 3 in Turkey alone (including another, seperate, Caspian Gates).

All of those only block mountain passes though, they aren't 70 miles long.

This one is a puzzler, as even the archeologists that worked on it admit. It simply doesn't fit any one particular function.

I guess there is always the possibility that this wall is actually longer but they haven't found the rest yet.

If it is from the Persian Empire, as seems likely, it wouldn't have held the Scythians out as it wasn't a complete barrier wall.
