This is a rather bizarre article to say least by Yahoo news because at the end or near at the end of the article the writer of the article goes on to state well just the facts on the actual migrants and how that many of these migrants are without marketable skills.

Only the new immigrants and millennial's want Socialism as a new appeal.

What's Behind Socialism's New Appeal Among Americans?

Cuba, Nicaragua, North Korea, and Venezuela are unfree, poor, and failed states. Baathism—a synonym for pan-Arabic socialism—ruined the postwar Middle East.
The soft-socialist European Union countries are stagnant and mostly dependent on the U.S. military for their protection.

So why, then, are two of the top three Democratic presidential contenders—Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren—either overtly or implicitly running on socialist agendas? Why are the heartthrobs of American progressives—Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.; Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.; and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.—calling for socialist redistributionist schemes?

Massive immigration is changing the demography of the United States. The number of foreign-born U.S. residents and their children has been estimated at almost 60 million, or about 1 in 5 U.S. residents. Some 27% of California residents were born outside of America.

Many of these immigrants flee from poor areas of Latin America, Mexico, Africa, and Asia that were wrecked by statism and socialism. Often, they arrive in
the U.S. unaware of economic and political alternatives to state socialism.

When they reach the U.S.—often without marketable skills and unable to speak English—many assume that America will simply offer a far better version of the statism from which they fled. Consequently, many take for granted that government will provide them an array of social services, and they become supportive of progressive socialism.

What's "Behind" Socialism's New Appeal is the MSM propaganda that is supported by billions of dollars 😃

Dumbing down of society is behind it as well. A low IQ is a prerequisite to supporting socialism.

Ai chatbots and a few broke people.

...But mostly it's just suggestive titles not backing the story like this used as propaganda.
...Hoping readers skim and just take in the desired thought.
Our media is pretty much overrun by a bunch scum sucking nazi control freaks by now.
This one's actually pretty evil.

They could stick to positive messages like. " Now is a great time to ditch the cubicle, stop making money for a lazy ass by doing all the work and be your own boss!"

The Millenials and Generation Z are down to two choices

Socialism

or

Eat the rich

We're seeking the least offensive option first and if that fails at least there's still socialism

I think it is more the American population waking up from the Cold War “red scare” propaganda circus.

TPTB did an amazing job of propagandizing Americans into believing that neutral words are actually good or evil..

Monarchy, democracy, socialism , capitalism, globalism, communism, exc, exc....

All are tools... none are inherently good or evil.

It is kinda amazing the way they trained the population to hate neutral words.

Millenials can always get jobs and invest 1/2 of their paychecks in the DOW30 and retire with high incomes.

It's ALWAYS been this simple 😎👓

I'm a Millenial and I choose option c) liberty, capitalism, self reliance, not blaming everyone else for my own mistakes, not being envious of those who have more than me, not judging or hating people based on social status, not being a crybaby, etc.

I hate to tell Mr. Hanson, but the John Birch Society scooped him by like ... 70 years or so.

Senator McCarthy was VERY concerned and even held special investigations at the time!

Mike Rowe sums it up pretty succinctly and the most blue collar working man in America doesn't blame Millenials for the crisis this generation is facing.

Well, our Government funded re-education camps we call schools have been doing a great job turning the younger folks into mindless zombies who are willing to trade their freedom for a government that will take care of them and give them free stuff.

"“When you have a half-million Americans sleeping out on the street, 87 million people uninsured or underinsured, when you have hundreds of thousands of kids who cannot afford to go to college, and millions struggling with the oppressive burden of student debt… and you have three people owning more wealth than the bottom half of American society, that is a moral and economic outrage,” Bernie Sanders

Maybe taking some free stuff away from the multi-billionaires is not such a bad thing. Yeah the rich people will be in misery. Yeah they will just leave bla bla bla. But in the short term people who are desperate need of healthcare might find some relief.

Bernie Sanders and his socialist message are popular because people are hurting from the excesses of laissez faire capitalism concentrating all the wealth in a very few hands at the expense of everyone else. People at the bottom work just as hard as the people at the top!

Here is why Bernie Sanders and his message of socialism are so popular:

"According to the Federal Reserve over the last 30 years the top 1% have seen a 21 trillion increase in their wealth. And the bottom 50% have seen a 900 billion decrease in their wealth."

Why is this better than having it the other way around? And how much is enough? Please, if you are against socialism, please tell me how much wealth concentrated in so few hands is enough? At what point do we have public policies to address wealth inequality in this country?

Yes communism is coming but not because we have too much socialism in this country. Marx said laissez faire capitalism is always followed by communism. This is because unfettered greed would result in so much wealth concentrated into so few hands the governments currency would collapse to nothing in value.

"According to the Federal Reserve over the last 30 years the top 1% have seen a 21 trillion increase in their wealth. And the bottom 50% have seen a 900 billion decrease in their wealth."

Once the currency collapses to nothing in value, the people in the breadlines will demand MORE government not less. See you in the breadlines comrades!
