Evening ATS Colleagues.

With Netflix being down I"ve resorted to catch up on the Horror Channel.

Happily I stumbled across this little gem featuring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing (amongst other 60s/70s stars.)

I'll leave IMDB to outline the plot ...

Any other recommendations Guys?

A great 60s sci-fi romp is Barbarella with Jane Fonda. I love everything about this film. Not sure exactly where you will find it but I am sure it must be online somewhere.

Barbarella is a calssic.

If I'm not mistaken did Mathmos Lava Lamps not take their name from the lava type stuff under Duran Duran's planet? (Or the other way around. )

And lets not forget Duran Duran the 80s band.

Heaven 17 and A Clockwork Orange anyone?

If you are into STNG, and ever wondered where Gene Roddenberry arrived at the concept of Mr. Data, look no further than this little film. This was his first foray into that character.

Forbidden Planet, 1955*, way ahead of it's time in so many movie making ways as well as as waxing philosophical/intellectual even.

*actually 1956

I'd never heard of that.. he even wiggled his wife into it, as he seems to always do

I'll have to see if I can hunt a copy down... though reading some reviews, it appears they really wanted to get rid of BJ hunnicutt and go with the robot on his own, which is why it never became a series...

I wonder if Data would have been a thing in STTNG, if this had become something.. apparently there is a scene with a casino in which questor does the exact same thing, play by play, as Data did in the episode "The Royale" and cleans the place out.. lol..
