I think we all agree that the fed govt can and should do with some major shrinkage. We should reduce military massively, cut out a few intel agencies, demilitarize police, slash the irs code, and make simple, reasonable regulations that limit corruption and pollution with enforced penalties while no longer limiting competition.

I also believe our current system is such that there are plenty Einstein’s, musks, Tesla’s and gates that languish in poverty and addiction, that being born with great ability can and often is wasted due to social circumstance, and that there are numerous people who would be just as successful as trump, if not more so, if given 500 million from their parents.

In a weird way I think it make be our attempt to stop misuse that have screwed us up in a lot of sectors of the government..

For example...

The started drug testing food stamps recipients in Memphis a few years back when that was a kinda national topic..

Well 2 years later it came out they spent 3 million dollars setting up the testing program and caught 7 people..

Because of things like that and the more traditional corruption, I doubt .30$ on a dollar makes it where it is supposed to go..

No way...

We have to think out side the box...

Lol

Gotta love those sayings that sound good but mean nothing.

Obviously the government through the voting process...

Your right about profit not being inherently evil... or it shouldn’t be... I can see no reason it has to be, but it sure seems like the worse for society something is, the more profitable it is..

You didn’t specifically say this, but I think it is kinda relevant..

Absolute power does not corrupt..

Absolute power reveals..

Absolute power will not make a great person into a corrupt one, but it will make a corrupt person stop faking it.

What problem are you looking for a solution for exactly? Perhaps allowing individuals to reach their own outcomes is the best solution, rather than to attempt to control the outcomes for others.

It's a chicken or the egg issue

Federal government is the issue. They should be involved in some things, but not nearly this many. State governments should be able to pass their own laws, regulations, etc., by state government via the voters. *Lack of state rights is what eventually led to the Civil War.

*Please don't attempt to bring up slavery if we had state rights today. TIA

Yep. And in order for that to even kinda sorta work, every able-bodied American over 18 would have to work and pay taxes. That'll never happen because the ignorant welfare program put into place has made way too many Americans lazy.

The solution best for the most of us will always be what is closest to the natural state. Just as the idea is that the most technologically advanced civilization reachable is the point where you leave no trace you existed because your technology both gives total control over the environment while incorporating the earth around you in a way which requires no waste no killing of animals, no encroaching on wildlife habitats, etc. So I would think just as technology is concerned, all aspects of anthropological consideration would be. So socially we would have no government as the human is meant to live in anarchy naturally. So that is where u must decide how close can you get to a peaceful anarchy which is our ideal state, in reality? Many studies and theories point to the best situation being small self sufficient communities able to supplement any needs high tech or otherwise with limited trade and opening of borders, and a self policing system where you rely on knowing every member of the community to decide whom to punish and what consequences would be best for any instances of unacceptable behavior. This greatly limits population to what, 150, 200 people per self sustaining community? And you would also have to resort to total exilie for any members of the community who were violent however hopefully mental illness would be greatly reduced by not introducing the chemicals and hormones followed by the matters of thought which are created in mega societies centered around materialism, sex, money, and class.

If government is NOT the solution then what is the solution?

Being your own government where YOU are president for life.

Instead of wanting to serve someone else.

Geezus.

And get over how much someone else makes.

This crap gets old.

There is no solution.

The problem is, people are wanting and trying to corral humanity with Government.

We've been attempting to fight human nature for thousands of years. Guess what? We still have criminals, we still have the "evil" rich people, we still have do nothings, we still have every single type of person we've always had.

We always will.

Minimize the impact of government on your life as much as possible.

Reside in an area that most closely fits with your own beliefs.

Stay off the radar.

Live without fear.

If our Republic is dying, who will cross the Rubicon? And in this comparison is this the Potomac or something more abstract like the passing of the Patriot Act?

alea iacta est

The Rubicon was already crossed long ago by the MI/bankingComplex, the die is already cast. All they do is appease the public to a bare minimum until they can establish their technocratic control grid that no one can escape. They aren't far from their goal if not already there.

The reason we have arrived at this impasse is primarily due to an ignorance of history on the part of the public. Schools don't teach it and society doesn't stress it's importance to know. We keep falling for much of the same shtick they sold the peasants in the Russian revolution. Promises of safety and security with handy targets of blame.

As you know very well much of history is hidden so even the authentic truth seeker has a hard time finding the facts. Those who do know have been muzzled by political correctness and ostracized for their "crazy" ideas. Once you know who created the Federal Reserve, the UN and World Bank, who started the Bolshevik movement and have continued the great cover up the bread crumbs are there for anyone to follow - but it is a long road and one with a great deal of misinformation and false trails laid to throw one off the path.
