Order of ATS??

So, what is your order on ATS? What things do you look at first, and what other websites do you check BEFORE ATS?

My stored hyperlink is MyATS, so this is what comes up first. I can see if anyone responded to my "stupid" posts.

Next is "Live" where I can see what is going on, news and non-news.

Then I look at "Recent" to see what folks are talking about, what's popular.

A good writer will make "Flagged" before dropping off "New". Else, the post will drop from discussion.

Honestly, I check ATS before I check any "news". It seems ATS is better and more balanced than even the most balanced "news" sources.

ATS guides me to both sides of every issue I wish to see. I want to understand both angles (and there only seem to be 'two' these days...left and right).

MSM has long been forsaken; they no longer report the "unbiased" news; it's all propaganda. All of it!

And so, what is your order of ATS?

I usually go to MSN, check my e-mails then...I come here and check The Shed thread, then the new topics and live and in between I'm over at youtube or facebook or somewhere. I pretty much live here though.

ATS is not a news programme, It's definitely not unbiased either.
All you have is your contribution, make what you can of it.

Other than email first thing, I juggle between Twitter and ATS, but ATS is sometimes annoying.

Insofar as ATS is concerned, mostly "recent," "Off topic," and "New."

I don't do live or any of the other stuff.

I linked through expecting a proposal to elect an ATS High Council of the Membership. was going to nominate myself, naturally.

I check my thread replies first. If I have a response for the acronym thread, I link through and play. Sometimes I get stuck in there for an hour at a stretch.

Then I check out new threads. Read what I like, you know. Little o' this, little o' that.

ATS is the only website I visit, anymore. I don't even pay my bills online. Sometimes I spend too much damn time here. Sometimes I turn my back on it and just as soon as I figure I'll never come back, some news soundbyte pricks my ear and the first thing I think is, "I wonder how all those ATS weirdos are dicing this thing up?"

And here I am.

I check my local news, then MSM to get an idea of the narrative being pushed. After that I come here to ATS and start out with new, then top. When I have time I grab a cocktail and go into RATS for a rabbit hole session. I enjoy this site because of the varying opinions.

To the OP, I come here first, check New, check Replies, check the cooking thread for anything you have going on and then if anything is interesting in news or politics I will research it with Dogpile and then go from there.

I have found that if there is anything of interest in politics, UFO's or odd worldly news it's here anyways, so why bother surfing through other sites?

Replies and messages first for threads I'm already participating in. Then I peruse the new topics, and occasionally I will seek out older threads for reference information while conducting research on future topics I intend to discuss.

Just up to the minute topics, UFO's to recipes to poems to politics...

And after a quick scan down those? I get a good idea of how my day's going...or going to...or not!

I have a pretty standard routine.

I usually come home, change out of my work cloths, put on my favorite pair of unwashed underwear. Microwave up a couple hot pockets and turn the lights down real low.

Then I fire up the ol puter and usually start on the new topics page. I take is slow, poking in and out of a few light hearted topics usually just to get warmed up. Once I get in the grove I'll deep dive and start reading some of the juicier topics as well as the several pages of commentary.

Then, I'll usually poor a nice sniffer full of fine whisky and start dropping my brilliant bombs of wisdom all over the forum in a shotgun like manner.

I come here for news. Real news before it actually breaks and gets twisted. Then I leave because NO MATTER WHAT, if something positive happens. Trump did it.

Preferably on some late ultra-cold Wyoming or Montana night, at some small diner which serves the best egg-foo-yong known to man. I know of that place. It's the Outlaw Truck Stop diner on the outskirts of Rock Springs. Used to have trucks lined up there idling for hours waiting for the word to head up north to the gas fields. Only seats about 15 people, but boy the food is good, and the egg-foo-yong is off the rails!! Coffee's ultra-hot, fill ups on the thermoses are free, and they even have these long electric heaters you can dry your carhartts off on. Leave your boots at the door, there's big heaters blowing down inside your boots.

When you headed out to the north, into the black, you were warm, had coffee...and there was no telling what would come.

All I check is "New." I buzz on past anything political, 99% of the time, and just click on titles that look like the thread might be interesting.
