The evidence:

Sullivan: "Soliciting investigations into a domestic political opponent, I don't think that would be in accord with our values"

A week later, Taylor was even more concerned, texting Sondland: "As I said on the phone, I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign."

Vindman: "I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine"

Vindman: "I am a patriot, and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend OUR country, irrespective of party or politics"

Holding back military aid, putting our country and troops at risk for personal political gain is the heart of the matter. From the evidence there seems to be a lot of quotes and testimony claiming this actually happened. There is no honor in using our military for personal political gain.

This reminds me of the TV series Spartacus and the way House Batiatus. In the show a sequence of dishonorable acts finally brought down Gnaeus Cornelius Lentulus Batiatus. I think the same is happening with Trump. When the military gets involved in this way it flies against what men like Vindman stand for and devote their whole lives to protecting.

Republicans need to stop expecting Democrats not to play hardball. This is hardball politics. The only to blame for it is Trump himself for creating a situation where the Democrats have enough rope. This whole thing is like a train derailment. Once it starts it's very hard to turn away from looking at the spectacle of it. ((we need an eating popcorn emoji))

Although the Trump cultists are very confident, it seems to me there's a pretty high chance House Trump may fall because of this.

P.S. This should be in the mud-pit. Sorry, my mistake.

Since the 'whistleblower' worked for Biden, Brennan and Obama.... and didn't have any first hand info..... and lied on the whistleblower application....
He has no credibility.
The person that he got his information from broke the law when his revealed it to him, hence that person is a criminal.... and no credibility.
Play hardball. I guess that is left wing for coup attempt.

Trump has kept more campaign promises than any presidential candidate in my life time. I will vote for him again next election. He is doing the will of the people and keeping America first.

How terrible it must be for you then, when your beloved Dems have even less honor than your President.
It’s obviously destroying your life, maybe you should seek some help with that.

Democrats don't like it when someone starts investigating one of their own.

They've had their 3 years. It's our turn now.

I simply had no idea you ever felt this way.

I mean, it certainly was not clear from every post you make here.

Who knew....

Vindman: "I am a patriot, and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend OUR country, irrespective of party or politics"

That's debatable. If you read his opening statement, he made it clear that Ukraine's relationship with Democrats was very important to him and that the only way to provide national security to our country is to allow both Ukraine and the U.S. to engage in as much corruption as they want as long as they agree to work together to be a buffer against Russia. To him it was all about scratching each other's back to keep each other happy.

Quite honestly, from where I'm sitting, these impeachment hearings are nothing more than an attempt to stop a necessary and proper investigation into criminal corruption and wrongdoing by a high-level official... criminal acts by the Vice President, literally one step removed from the top.

The official duties and responsibilities of the President include enforcement of the law, and foreign relations, especially in accordance with standing treaties duly ratified by the Senate. I want and expect our President (and other officials) to withhold aid from countries that are protecting and/or colluding in criminal wrongdoing. I want and expect our President to investigate criminal wrongdoing, and to demand cooperation from foreign governments where necessary and appropriate. I want and expect our President to set necessary and proper conditions for relations between our nation and foreign nations. This is the President's job.

It is absolutely despicable that this impeachment inquiry is being held to protect a former Vice President from criminal acts. Absolutely despicable.

You're asking the question wrong.

---> If our President found out damning information about an opponent (Biden) and DIDN'T ask for more information because he was worried about what it would do to his election THAT would be dishonest!

There, I fixed it for you.

And he is as honorable a man as any I know. You can take that however you want to.

Yes they are despicable.
What’s even more despicable is that all Dem supporters are willing to look the other way when it comes to Dem corruption.
They are basically saying to the world “Hey we know that our political party lies about everything and is corrupt to the core, but it’s the only way we know how to do things, so leave us alone”
This will fail miserably like all the other attempts to bring Trump down.

Actually, I think you Republicans have it much worse. You claim there's all this corruption by the Democrats but you party is not capable of making any Democrats pay for breaking laws left and right. If I were a Republican I would be so frustrated by every day that goes by where Hillary and Obama are not in prison.

I have no honor. It's people in the military who hold honor to the highest possible degree.

Yup, that's exactly what they are saying. They are also telling the whole world that they have no shame, no conscience and no honor. Desperate times call for desperate measures and this entire debacle reeks of sheer desperation. How bad is the whole truth they are so desperate to protect if they consider this sham impeachment their better option???

This will fail miserably like all the other attempts to bring Trump down.

Yes, I think it already has actually. We just can't see it yet.

I guess we can be thankful for them showing their true colors and letting us know exactly who they are.
