Kind regards,

Haha, I thought that was just an Aussie one... along with when it comes to that, you're a fool if you say you do and a liar if you say you don't.

I used to complain about how I didn’t have any shoes, until I met a fella who had no feet.

There’s three stages in life: youth, middle age, and My.....you’re looking good today!

You’re born to this world with nothing, you’re gonna leave it with nothing.

Help someone when they’re in trouble, and they will always remember you helped them the next time they are in trouble.

I’m pretty sure everyone in this world is crazy except for me and you, and sometimes, I’m not so sure about you.

Those were the main sayings from my dad who passed away a week ago. RIP pops, your gentle spirit and wisdom will be missed.

“If I can laugh at it, I can live with it.” Me. - an epiphany from my adolescence that has proven true countless times.

Neat thread. I love inspiration.

Okay it took a bit for me to get into the spirit of this (see my poor first attempt below for your amusement):

Einstein: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

Einstein: "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them."
(typically followed by "That's why your bosses hired me")

Self: "Never underestimate the stupidity of your fellow (government) employee"

Various: "The main thing to remember is to keep the Main thing, the main thing"
"I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy"

- - - [off topic first attempt] --
Sorry, I can only come up with asinine references today, but here goes:

"You'll never remember my name, so you can just call me a$$hole"
(corollary - "I can't remember your name, mind if I just call you a$$hole?")

"Act like the Ostrich with your head in the sand while your a$$ remains completely uncovered"

(in fake quick oriental voice) "Confuscius say: I-saw-your-a$$hole-you-a$$hole - ah, sooo

"Be yourself, everybody else is taken". Unknown.

"People live like they will never die; and when they die is like they never lived". Dalai Lama.

"Allow the world to live as it chooses, and allow yourself to live as you choose." Richard Bach.

"If it's never our fault, we can't take responsibility for it. If we can't take responsibility for it, we'll always be its victim." Also Richard Bach

Pick your battles wisely.

S# happens, deal with it.

You'll be remembered for one or two generations beyond your own, at best. Live to make yourself happy, you get one chance at it before you fade into the footnotes of descendants' records.
