Manhunt underway after gunman kills 2, injures 14 at Texas A&M University-Commerce party

This happened last night at the Party Venue off of 380 near Grenville TX. This was a homecoming party for Texas A&M students. A frat house was also shot up as I understand. This happened in my general area so I have been checking on all my people first or would have posted this earlier. If you have kids going to A&M Commerce campus call them.

Update: The party theme was "twerk or treat" as I understand. Gunman still at large. Party goers tell police they did not see anything. 750 people at the party from all over Texas.

Update: ABC reports the weapon as a semiautomatic rifle. The facts on the ground here indicate it was a semiautomatic pistol. Looks like based on the shell casings recovered to be a 9mm. Deaths and injuries were consistent with a single magazine fired and the shooter fled after the shooting.

If the news reports i read are accurate, there were 700+ students there.

Amazing how 1400 eyeballs are present and no-one saw a damn thing.

It was dark and crowded there. 700 is way more than allowed at the Party Venue. They have had problems there in the past. It happened just before midnight. Deputies were there earlier because of reports of cars parked on 380.

dont worry those with zero ability to think for themselves will demand the govt do something... anything and the fed I am sure will run right out with a simple effective means of curbing this gun violence epidemic that is sweeping the nation failing to crack the top 100 causes of death in the country.

Let’s see from what demographic the shooter is from..yes it does matter when certain groups tend to be more aggressive then others. Twerking party tells me much, this isn’t a mass shooting. This is a reasonable and logical way to resolve an issue in the hood!

Look how tiny this place looks and imaging over 700 North Texas kids swarmed all over this place for the "Twerk or Treat" party? One off duty school cop for security so they could have alcohol at the party and that was it.

CNN)The candlelight vigil for two people killed at an off-campus homecoming party near Greenville, Texas, was interrupted by gunfire Sunday, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting around 8 p.m. CDT and found a disturbance during the vigil led to shots being fired, according to Dallas police spokeswoman Tamika Dameron.

No injuries were reported in the shooting, but several vehicles were damaged, Dameron said.

The vigil comes just one day after two people were killed and 14 others were injured during a party Saturday.

This sounds more like something gang members would do.

Hopefully, the "disturbance" at the vigil will help lead to the disturbance at the party that caused all of this shooting.
