I’d like to start off by telling everyone. I try not to do news threads unless I think they’re important. Over the last two days The news has been hopping. So here we go again.

This is a opinion article on how to avoid impeachment. The strategy is sound in my opinion and I wanted to get it out there.

I’m gonna hit some high points. There’s a lot more to read at the source.

Public opinion has a great deal to do with the impeachment . As of now the Democrats have the Republicans locked out and the media complacently withholding information. They’re definitely winning on the propaganda front.

Republicans need to fix that. Tom Del Beccaro suggest doing battle with two particular news outlets. The Washington post and ABC. In addition to that Republicans need to engage with local news and of course talk radio. Which might force the rest of the mainstream media’s hand.

The Democrats dirty deeds need to be exposed to the public loudly. All the way back to the Clinton administration.

I hope Trump reads the article. Because this is the most important step in my opinion.

Step Four. It’s time to declassify. The actions of those in government prior and just after the 2016 election are well beyond unacceptable. The nature of their attempts to unseat Trump must be exposed. Along with their continued whistleblower efforts, the threat to the rule of law is more than palpable. They must be outed for what they did – they are no ordinary cabal. What they did and are doing is unprecedented and must be stopped. By outing some now, it will deter others.

We all know this threat is real......

Either Republicans rise to the occasion and draw the line or the country will be forever transformed from a relatively free society with a limited government to a country ruled by a central government.

Basically the strategy is to win in streets not in the chamber. Then subpoena them all Joe Biden, (The rest are my names) Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi I’d even like to see Maxine Watters take the stand.

Take the battle to them.

I guess following the Constitution and getting to the truth is out of the question?

You'd rather start a few more fights, smear some more people, get a few more people implicated or fired so that in the end we can still finish the impeachment inquiry?

I say everyone should cooperate and this should get done as quickly as legally possible. Whichever side is at fault loses the most. If dems staged a nothingburger investigation they are held accountable legally and they lose votes. If Trump and his people did as witnesses allege so far, they are all removed and held legally liable.

Either way, one side WILL go down. For a LONG time.

I say we just let the Constitution play out.

Ask the 52% of Americans that are in favor of impeachment and removal from office .

The main strategy is educating them to your point of view .

from the same people who told us hillary would win in a landslide?
sorry
I simply do not believe them anymore

perhaps that is why there has been no vote in the house?
just a blind guess....

Trumps bad....nuff said...

This all comes down to what was said and if it is considered a crime.
The left says trump was acting like a mafia boss but you would never get a conviction of a mobster with that phone call.

I'm assuming so or the House would have had a vote on impeachment already.

To the OP, the author is correct, unfortunately.

But what else is there to do?

I guess following the Constitution and getting to the truth is out of the question?

i dont know, maybe you should explain this

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

I know how to avoid impeachment...

Just don’t let the gop senate confirm it... problem solved..

That said if trump had stuff to declassify that would prove people committed felonies to set him up or whatever other malfeasance he has accused people of..

HE WOULD HAVE RELEASED IT YEARS AGO!!!

This whole OP article is assuming trump is innocent and has proof of said witch hunt or whatever other felonies the democrats are up to..

Well let’s put the “if trump is innocent” to the side for a second and focus on the part of trump having evidence of a witch hunt..

If trump had evidence of a witch hunt he uses it long before now.. he is just about to get impeached likely... I mean damn that is go time if there ever was a go time..

Yet still nothing but trump making barely coherent accusations with zero follow through

By trump..

Personally profited off the presidency..emonuments clause..

Gave his kids jobs they were in no way qualified for.. the only reason I list that is apparently according to the Donald that is plenty of evidence for major investigations.. lol

Logan act..

Accepting a thing of value from a foreign nation for your political campaign..

Obstruction..

And just because I’m sure you believe the Fox News propaganda concerning the muller report..

Muller from the start said there were 2 possible conclusions since the president cannot be prosecuted until out of office..

1) he finds no evidence of wrong doing and comes out and clears trumps name..

2) he does find evidence of wrong doing and will compile that evidence for after trump is no longer in office. If someone wants to persue prosecution then...

He came out and did #2..

If the dems were so sure of your "crimes" they sure as hell wouldn't have backed off on an impeachment vote.
They are just stalling for time in the hopes they can find something.

I’m pretty flipping posituve that EVERY poll on the planet has a percent chance of failure...

548 said hillary had a 70% chance... that Is not 100% lol..

The arguments conservatives make are just so blatantly ridiculous..

I mean most toddlers probably know that a 99% chance, still might crap out.

That is 99-100... not 100-100. Obviously

I don’t think they will back off long term.. and they are not scared of the evidence..the evidence is very clear..

They know the senate will not remove him from office , so he still could not be prosecuted making the evidence useless until after office..

And if trump bows away in disgrace they probably won’t prosecute him anyway..

So even when they poll the most heavily leftist-populated liberal-infected areas they can find, they still get 48% of people supporting the President?

Who would have thought?

The number is irrelevant.

But there is a large portion of independents in favor of impeachment and removal.

Those are the people who need to see the Democratic Party for what it really is . Republicans need to not only stop the impeachment process.

But also expose Hillary and her band of crooks .

Then they’ll show up November 3, 2020 .

I see it as a dual prong attack .

My bad for not making that clearer

I like to do this it’s called a honesty check .

Do you think the impeachment process as it’s being conducted now and with the main stream media’s help is fair ?

Trump’s subsequent withdrawal of his Doral resort as the site for the next G-7 conclave could have had a number of causes, beyond the official statements.

Given the timing of the withdrawal, one, possible, read should give Trump’s supporters pause:

In declaring the Doral as the next G-7 site, he failed to realize that he had gone too far in his “brinksmanship” style of presidency and offended very powerful, but heretofore silent, segments of his party. Segments that will have the power of “Yeah” or “Nay” if/when the question of impeachment arrives in the Senate.

Many in these boards have been trying to defend Trump by claiming he cannot be impeached unless it is proven, as in a criminal court, that he committed a crime.

But the process of impeachment is NOT a “criminal” trial as they would have it believed.

More precisely, it is not MERELY a criminal trial.

Unlike a typical criminal trial, impeachment entails a political element as well.

And this is where majority support in the Senate is crucial to Trump’s survival of the impeachment process. If he loses the support of a majority of “his” party in the Senate, he will not survive,

Regardless of the strength or weakness of the charges brought against him.

The Ukrainian debacle made the GOP look bad in the public eye; never be stupid enough to get caught doing something stupid. A violation of the first rule of politics, and Trump did it on tape!

The Syrian withdrawal made the US, specifically the US military, look like traitors to an ally, and raised questions about our reliability and trustworthiness around the world. The military has been a keystone of the traditional Republican base for decades. The Trump base appears to view the US military in more...opportunistic terms; great for parades and looking tough to other countries, but too expensive and complicated to manage and maintain (kind of like the Doral!). The Syrian action really pissed off a lot of the Senate GOP, more than has come to light I think.

And then the cherry on top; the G-7.

My money is on a very VERY private conversation being held between key GOP Senators (call them representatives of the so-called “Deep State” if you will) and Trump, at which 45 was read, in short, small words and very simple terms, the “Riot Act”: Back off, or you will be thrown to the wolves before the month is up!

And Trump blinked.

you are probably not a real estate person which i understand but i am, it all comes down to a bid and the lowest bidder wins

the other place they will go to would cost much more because they know that Doral is impossible because it belongs to Trump and its kind of a conflict of interest, lets see the cost from all bidders before we decide shall we?
