Likened to this:
Trump: We need to build a wall.
Dems: WE DON'T NEED A WALL, RACIST!
Trump: Ok, we won't build a wall then.
Dems: BUT WE NEED A WALL, YOU UNAMERICAN TRAITOR!
Trump: Do you want a wall or not?
Dems: YOU DON'T DARE QUESTION US! IMPEACH 45!
I don't focus on people...people come and go. Its systems that are intended to secure the future. And we have crippled the system by allowing the IC to run propaganda against the People.

It is hard for a sane person to respect that.
I wouldn't call Mattis a sane person, not even Obama trusted that warhawk.
Leon Panetta said Mattis lacked "the maturity to look at all of the options that a president should look at in order to make the right decisions".

So then, if Mattis is so overrated and outdated, why did Trump give him the job in the first place? Why were all of Trump's supporters so happy about his appointment?
I thought Trump only hired the best people.

Trump calls Mattis the most overrated general in the world, it’s fine.
Mattis agrees and he’s a traitor.
Can’t even make this stuff up
Yeah. Trump can say anything he wishes about HIS TROOPS - and they have to take it.
Even a General has to follow protocol - and Woopie-Pie Mattis didn't.
Trump is his Chief Commander.
Suck it up, shut up and close your pie hole!
Mattis is a former General, he retired from the military back in 2013. He also is no longer part of the government as he left his Secretary of Defense role.

I might be a little dense tonight, but can you tell what "the IC" is?
Thanks.

It definitely seems like Trump's move in Syria has started costing him support within the military
Because the enlisted ranks want to go to Syria? And their families see sending them to Syria as a justifiable sacrifice?
the military teaches loyalty above all else. this means not throwing your allies, many of whom fought and died beside you, to the turkeys. when given a choice of leaving an ally, or staying and helping, most will choose to stay and help.

Trump supporters are blissfully unaware that by hiring the best people he means the people that agree with him and do as he says unconditionally.

That is precisely the best qualification for a man with a plan.
And let the UN do it without our money too! The UN is not about keeping the peace, it is about controlling the worlds resources for the rich and powerful and for instituting a socialist world government( one which tells us we cannot eat beef because if Climate Change). The world govt of the UN is the New World Order.

My take is we pull all of our military back, close our borders, and take care of our own issues. Let the UN be the world police. Yes I am prior military.
Loyalty to your own country comes first! This bs about taking care of the world first is not what General Washington was about. Who are our allies anymore? The world is used to getting money from us. The more socialist The world gets, the less of an ally it becomes.

And George Washington was 100% wrong in trying to be an isolationist. He had some good ideas, but this was not one of them and even if it were a good idea back then, global deals are much more important today as the world is far more interconnected.
