I don't understand. If they want us at war all they have to do is declare it. The president is not the one who declares war, congress is. Duh, you would think they would know that.

These days they declare war the same way they impeach, it seems. It just happens and the rules are pretend.

*patiently waits for any of those soldiers to actually come home instead of just being moved somewhere else in the middle east..

I am with that...
bring them all home

I could maybe get behind that if that's really what this was. But it's just another lie from Donald Trump. No one is coming home because of this.

The real reason is whatever was in the phone call between Erdogan and Donald Trump. And it sure wasn't about bringing troops home.

No one will bring the troops home. The likes of Halliburton, Raytheon and general dynamics, KBR, lockeed, are making to much money.
They have the power, money and lobbyist to control anything they want. War is a business....

they don't call it the Military/INDUSTRIAL complex for nothing.

Wow, and here I’m thinking
Go to war - people are pissed and people die
Don’t go to war - people are pissed.

I don’t get this, the world is always telling America to stay out of conflicts outside of it’s borders.
I’m just baffled, I thought the Democrats would be very happy about this?

Is this the twilight zone?
How would I know??

In the words of my grandmother, hope in one hand and #### in the other. See which one gets filled up first.

Just like Tulsi Gabbard said

So you are for regime change in Syria?

Which means you are willing to put our soldiers who have been at war for over 18 years into another dubious war. A war where this guy is backed to the hilt by Russia.

Come on this is political theater

Who exactly do these 354 politicians represent? Perhaps you should move to another country if you want representation in that country.

I'll explain, maybe you are not American.

The US House of Representatives has 435 members. I think we actually have 434 right now, but I could be wrong.

Those 354 are all Americans, and have been democratically elected by Americans. The sheer fact that 354 voted to oppose the president tells us that 354 out of 435 is an ENORMOUS majority, and they speak for the people that elected them.

Irrespective of whether you are an American or not, ask away, I will be happy to educate you on how our democratic system works.

E Coli,

How the system works is Pelosi puts a declaration of war on Syria to a vote.
If it passes, then war is declared, barring veto.

There has not been a vote on this war
Don't like democracy, like typical narcissist leftists....

Pro tip: Doing like Obama and sending weapons to ISIS that rapes and pillages is BAD
Get a clue...

Yes, that would be something. Since they are not coming home and we are selling 3,000 US troops to the King of Saudi Arabia, chances are those US troops from Syria got relocated and now work for the King. King of SA writes the check to the White House, White House writes the checks to the troops.

Mercenary army for hire.

You're right.

I'm sure it was only great and good things in a phone call between a murderous dictator like Erdogan and a wannabe dictator like Donald Trump.

Probably a perfect phone call.

So now Trumps' insane because he does not want to go to war in Syria? Not so long ago the Dems were complaining because he was Tomahawking the Syrians.

Send Trump and his minions to Syria unescorted.

And the problem will solve itself.

Like it not, Turkey is a part of NATO like the US, so at some point, you have to talk to them concerning troop movements in the region, no?

He probably got GTA5 cheat codes in return. Trump is all about the quid pro quo stuff. (I know nothing of video games)

I don't know what drove the decision or what the right call is, but trying to avoid war, to me at least, seems like a move in the right direction. But having served, I am biased on that. I prefer my friends breathing when they get their medals.

I hear what you say, but I’m sure there must be a few on the blue side who aren’t ticked off by this?
It’s become a huge pissing contest, and neither side is fighting for whats right, it’s all about ticking off the other side.

It doesn’t matter anymore if someone does the right thing, no one notices.

Jesus Christ, make up your mind. War on Syrian soil good, Troops on Saudi Soil bad. I wonder what besides hate drives your opinions.
