is trump launching the air strikes or firing the bullets that kill them or is it the leader of turky who we all knows loves genocide i mean i guess we could ask the armenians about that but oh wait the turks slaughtered them

Have to calm down and ask yourself why he'd (Trump) want to make it that much easier for them to slaughter someone else.

We do need to vamoose from the region like a wet fart to the bathroom for a wipe, BUT we need to leave vulnerable areas with the best possible means to defend themselves. Or it's just another slaughter.

Trump to Pelosi as She Stormed Out of Meeting: “Goodbye! We’ll See You at the Polls!”

President Trump savagely trolled House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Wednesday after she threw a tantrum and stormed out of a White House meeting with Trump on Syria.

Pelosi was out of control on Wednesday and made a scene at the White House with her partner-in-crime Senator Chuck Schumer.

So the President is "Insane" because he wants to get US troops out of a Country they don't belong in?

He's crazy for wanting to stop Endless Wars?

What are US Troops doing in Syria and how long should they stay there in your Opinion? Why did we go into Syria in the first place?

What's our ultimate goal in Syria?

Yeah. Us being there wasn't an "endless war scenario," because we weren't engaged. We were a stabilizing force, which is a good thing.

Pulling out allowed what is happening now... to happen.

OK how long do we "stabilize" the Country we unstabilized? 5 years? 10 years? Should we just build permanent bases there?

What has to happen in Syria that we would no longer need troops there?

(Sigh)
They weren't there to keep the peace. They were there to train the Kurds. Who were doing the actual fighting against ISIS. And now the Kurds have been abandoned yet again to the Turks, whose leader had ignored the joke of a letter than The Donald sent him.
Trump seems to be genuinely surprised that people are kicking back against his completely all over the place Syria policy, which no-one understands because he keeps remaking it every day.

Quite ironic that Trump was still in the meeting and getting on with it, whilst Pelosi stormed out to the press to claim it was Trump who threw a tantrum. Poor Nancy couldn't handle the pressure.

This letter.. Have you seen this letter?!

Was that written by a third grade pupil?! Nope. It was written by the Pope of Nope. Demented D is (still) in the House.

You didn't answer the question.
So, then, how long should the US military be in Syria?
Seems to me that the President said he was going to remove them a while back and has done so. Pretty consistent as opposed to 'all over the place'.

He sent it before the Turks crossed the border, so it seems to have been both nuts and completely ineffectual. I genuinely thought that it was a hoax letter until the White House confirmed it was real, as it's undiplomatic and as you pointed out reads like a schoolkid wrote it.

Except the President was informed by Erdogan that Turkish troops were moving in, so he knew what was about to happen and made the call to protect US military personnel.
That's the thing, the President has vastly more knowledge of the situation than you do.

Well, ISIS had a major presence in Syria. The US forces were training the Kurds and were allied to the Free Syria forces (the Syrian civil war is ongoing and complicated), bringing down airstrikes on ISIS. UN Peacekeeping forces tend to be a buffer between recognised factions or rival countries. No-one has recognised ISIS as anything more than a terrorist group.
A lot of work has gone into crushing ISIS, from various administrations. What happens next is anyone's guess.

...and the ISIS caliphate has been destroyed. The Kurds have been helped to reclaim their land. Job done.
There is no obligation to now fight for the Kurds against a NATO member, obviously.
When you help someone they should say 'Thank you', not try to obligate you to help them for life.

By the way, if anyone thinks that ISIS has gone away then they are delusional as Trump is. He did not crush them, he merely helped in their destruction as a regional power, with the bulk of the fighting being done by the Kurds, who are holding thousands of their prisoners. Al-Baghdadi is regrettably still free (albeit with a $25m bounty on his head) and there are sleeper cells allegedly all over the place. Given half a chance these scum will try to resurface and have another go at it.

Why don't they videotape these meetings? You know Pelosi/Schumer will come out with lies, like the last time where they said Trump banged on a table, screamed and ran out of the room.

Terrorists are never going away.
Their caliphate was dismantled. Job done.
Anyone who thinks the US military should be fighting other peoples wars all over the world is far worse than delusional.
