If he's removed, it will not be because of Ukraine. It will be because of Syria.

Trump may have went too far by going against the Generals to allow Turkey to attack. It's just bad timing when you need full Republican support. He could have said we're leaving in 3-6 months to allow the Kurds to prepare.

If Trump loses his Evangelical support and Israel's support, he's toast. You have everyone from Franklin Graham to Pat Robinson condemning this. Israel sees Turkey and Erdogan as hostile to Israel. Here's Erdogan calling Netenyahu a terrorist.



You now have lead chicken hawk John Bolton coming out against Trump and he will become someone Liberals will love. Bolton is controlled by Sheldon Adelson. He's the reason Bolton was NSA. If Bolton is talking, then Adelson gave the green light. This isn't good for Trump.

If Evangelicals and Israel gives Senators the green light, they will go on a PR campaign against Trump while giving cover to Senators to vote to remove.

Why now? Why was there the urgency? Turkey would never attack with American Troops there. Now Trump is bizarrely trashing the Kurds talking about Normandy and other things after they helped imprison ISIS fighter and keep the peace in that region.

I support Trump when he speaks against endless wars and regime change, but this was a huge unforced era.

That is part of it. The apex of it though is doctrine. The economy of warfare doctrine we use does not work in these environments.

They only respect power. Use unrelenting force without passion or prejudice and they cut and run every single time. Either go in hard or do not go at all.

Trump saw an opportunity to get out, because this was costing billions AND it's a quagmire, what's the end game?

We can acknowledge one thing, that all participant nations hate ISIS, this will culminate in all nations stomping on ISIS everywhere they pop up from all sides.
Trump is banking on this as it would get our Soldiers out and let the competing factions focus on them.

Secondly, we can also all acknowledge that these people have been at war with each other for some time, so in essence, let them bog themselves down, remain in such a devisive state that it would essentially be like a middle east vietnam eating away at cash and resources.

Meanwhile, we pulled out and re-focused ourselves, also saving money and lives.

Was there a price? Yes. The Kurds. Not all decisions end up the way you want them to, Trump is learning this. They were a sacrificial pawn in the grand scheme of things. Some were BRAVE, others were murderers, terrorist. At the end of the day, they align with others.

I think you picked up an old newspaper today, NeoHolographic. The situation has changed 180 degrees since that paper was published. Stick with ONLINE news....or even better, check ATS regularly throughout the day for the latest news.

Turkey's President told President Trump that he would soon be invading Syria, using 15,000 Troops, along with Aircraft bombings, Tanks, etc..

Trump tried to talk Erdogan out of it...and even went "off script" when he got angry, according to Mike Pompeo.

Rather than leave our 1,050 soldiers in the path of 15,000 advancing Turkish troops, President Trump pulled them back.

I think any traditional President would have listened to the selfish war-hawks and left our sons and daughters there to be slaughtered.

Even to this minute, there are callous selfish azzholes who are upset that President Trump took the WISE, SMART, American-Lives-Matter route!

I agree, if Trump, would have left the troops there, then they would have been killed and certain groups would have used this as a Pearl Harbor to attack the middle east and secure major areas for their side. By removing the troops, Trump prevents a FF, and also lessens the start of a 3rd WW. It's a smart move.

Besides, Turkey is a member of NATO, so protecting the Kurds against them would seem to be a conflict of interest.

SO while some may see this move of his as a death sentence, to me it looks like the smartest move for America and the rights and freedoms of those living here. Go back and see how FDR removed rights during the war, sure many of the restrictions may have helped the war effort, but given a choice Americans would have done most of that anyways but done it by choice. Look at how Americans responded after 9/11 to see how we acted, then ask yourself would a governmental shut down on civil rights be needed today? We already see members of the DNC trying to shut down those rights now, can you imagine how they would react if a world war was created and America got thrown in to it?

I don't think this move will affect Trump at all, because most Americans understand this.
