Obama is also on video of late claiming to be the first US president to ever come from Kenya but I digress.

And it is being framed as just another 'slip of the tongue'...

Sadly, this will not go anywhere either...

US says Turkey agrees to a ceasefire in Syria

Live Updates

Pence just announced that the US and Turkish President President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had agreed to a ceasefire in the Turkish military offensive into Syria. Pence said the Turkish operation would end when the YPG forces complete the withdrawal.

The senior Turkish official told CNN the “terrorists” would withdraw from the “safe zone” within five days and that Turkey would enforce the area after that. He also told CNN the “military operation paid off."

Erdoğan is scheduled to meet with President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia, around the time the ceasefire would go into effect.

Looks like good news.

Hope it holds.

Good news for who? Turkey and Russia? I doubt the Kurds who are being forced out a huge swathe of land, are thinking it is any kind of victory. There is no "victory" here, Trump foolishly gave in to Turkey and is trying to claim it as a victory, which is sadly predictable. The "safe zone" is a retreat zone for the Kurds, nothing more.

Trump gave in, was spineless, and his supporters still try to drum it up as a victory. There are VERY few in not only our own political backyard, but in other countries as well, who think what the U.S. does was in any way an honorable, decent, or smart move. I guess all the Republicans who are calling out Trump for his moronic decision are all traitors too huh?

What's our goal in Syria and how many troops will have to die to achieve it?

Please answer that.

The region.

This could of (and still could) turned out real bad because of Turkey invading a Russian partner.

the Kurds who are being forced out a huge swathe of land

Huge swathe of someone else's land.
