The OP clip is actually profoundly logical.
If one person counts the boards, and the other person counts the slits, then the person counting the slits will run out of pier.
There's water at the bottom, it must be another slit - splash!
Reminds me of certain training repetitions best to be avoided, because after a certain amount of repetitions the focus becomes automatic. And it might
not be the right focus.
For example, this guy practiced with his wife every night how he would snatch a hijacker's gun, and then he would hand it back to his wife to try
again.
So when he was finally in a hijacking situation in a convenience store, he grabbed the hijacker's gun, and then automatically gave it back to the
attacker.
