So an entire civilization (Sumerian), one of the earliest with documentation we know of, did document on clay tablets: Law, debts, proclamations, shopping lists, and here is the kicker: fairy tales?

Did they had no intention of documenting their real origins, history or daily live. Instead they made thousands of clay tablets about fairy tales and fairy tales only?

I have a problem with dismissing older civilizations with superstitions every time the researches can not comprehend.
