Is the EU just another name for the Fourth Reich?

Because of proposed German domestic legislation?

I guess you didn't find it funny then.

Ironically I read the article , what there is by using a translator , I find it ridiculous to threaten citizens with prison for showing disrespect to a flag or a song regardless of who's it is .... prison planet.

My observation was that the EU is being treated like a nation id the EU flag is treated like a national flag. No rabid frothing, but concern about that acceptance.

If the EU is a nation, then the constituent nations will be relegated as mere states “of a nation”. Not sovereign in their own right, but fully subservient the larger part.

As I said. A worrying precedent.

Well since everybody can translate

Yeah Germany...pretty strict with it's laws and a population that takes the law serieus....but also a people who, unlike any other, are able to defy laws if they contradict justice or common sense.

Case in point: can hardly smoke a sigaret outdoors anymore but in Hamburg, after 20:00, ashtrays go back on the bar and you can actually enjoy a beer and a smoke old style.

Love the Germans.

Peace
