What do you think about the likelihood of such an arrangement were such a discovery to be made? In short, do you think it would go down like this? If not, what do you think would be the outcome...and the mechanics/impact of the economics as a result?

I don't think this is similar to diamonds. I think this is similar to governments acknowledging alien life but won't share that with the general public. Look at area 51. Maybe the government will allow bits and pieces of information, but they won't release it all at once.

If this amount of gold is truly massive, it would rock the world (pun intended). It has been used as the standard of currency for a very long time, something like 640bc. If that area is truly hard to get to (Siberia) and we only have Google earth etc. My guess is that world leaders will use things to hide or distort what is really there. Buying time if you will. As technology gets better, and more people travel, as drones get more advanced, things will happen and decisions will have to be made. The country that has the gold also has to decide what benefit is that amount to them. Faked scarcity has been a marketing tactic forever. It that amount is known it will be just as worthless to them as it is to all the other countries.

First of all, great story.
If I had any say in the matter of the
'hypothetical" country, this is what I would do.
First and foremost, pay off all outstanding interest
bearing debt. Then, in order to regulate/maintain the value of
the resource, I would sell off small amounts over a lengthy
span of time in order to improve/modernize said country.

There are untold amounts of gold on the ocean floor by the way.
The indigenous person should be allowed to keep their rock also.

I was in your in your area last week checking out a Bison ranch.
Cheers to Ya! S&F

Now you've pretty much hit the nail on the head!

That's what we're talking about.

PM me the location of the gold then we can talk further.

I don't have to PM it to you, in a while I'll just post the coordinates right here on ATS.

It won't matter though, you can't get there...not without a ton of money, a ton of logistics and (most importantly) having to tell the host right exactly where you want to go (which will be stamped "DENIED" immediately). Then you're going to be in a trespassing on foreign land scenario (heavily guarded military land) where you'll likely be shot on sight.

Was it between Limon and Kiowa? If so, I know that ranch, and the owner!

Thats crazy, but I believe it.
Now that we got that out of the way

From what I quickly read both China and India are salivating over this, and heavily investing in that area. They are the worlds largest gold consumers.
How greedy is Russia is now the question, and at what point will there be a global intervention?

Interesting. Could be hazardous material.
Could be anything on that beach.

Here's the thing, back in the day it was one of the most heavily guarded/defended and heavily monitored places on Earth (one of a couple), but not for this reason. It was because of the Cold War. This region was where everyone thought "the end" would 'begin'.

Since then it has fallen into somewhat of disrepair, but it is by no means undefended.

If something like this was discovered in the late 60's
early 70's it would sure explain the "petrodollar"
formation.

If that were true, I do not think Russia would
have a GDP similar to Brazil.
They would have extracted from that years ago
when needing funds for the arms race and later
on when the Berlin Wall fell.

I agree 100% with your assumptions and comparisons but your post just made me think diamonds.

When it comes down to it the only thing of real intrinsic value is living human flesh. Everything beyond that is fiat.

Google maps blackout spots do not
matter if you have satellites with spectrometers,
ground penetrating radar, and more.
You would not be able to hide something like
this unless there were some form of agreement
among world leaders behind the scene.

North of Denver.
Probably less acreage than the one
you know. Considering the bigtime
operations you all like to do.

If it only stopped at diamonds. Extractive mining such items as mineral fuels, precious metals, industrial mineral, natural gas and much more, is stripping poor countries of the natural resources while raping the land and the people.

If you believe Zecharia Sitchin it has been going on since the birth of our planet.

It almost seems like the govt has been trying to remove the link between fiat and precious metals for a long time now. In my estimation, they want our faith to be the only backing needed for fiat or even 0s & 1s. Wasn't JP Morgan convicted of precious metal market manipulation spanning a couple decades now, getting a minor slap on the wrist for price suppression? If the gold and silver markets weren't so heavily manipulated, they would actually reflect the true rate of inflation.

I would bet the government would strip that mine as fast as possible under secrecy. They would talk the game up while giving their inside connections time to diversify out of those markets before making it public. Seeing how they are selling us on current potus and fake theatrics, I would say they could keep the game going as long as possible.

On the other hand, when you consider that our alien overlords/creators love and cherish gold so much that most of the new discoveries / increased production is being sent offworld so quickly, everything stays in status quo.

I noticed your strikethrough.

I hope you didn’t take me as critiquing your OP I enjoyed it.

I just noticed the similarities . 👍

By the way I also read a news report about 10 years ago on a volcano spitting out gold in Brazil .

Any connection ?
