The Apollo program was designed by men, for men. But NASA can learn from its failures as it aims to send women to the moon and beyond.

Why else would history have it that the land of the free, where all men are created equal, a dozen Earth men set foot on the Moon,

but not a single woman?

Despite there being different manned moon landings. (They all were during Nixon's first term of presidency, 1969-1972, following Kennedy's assassination).

Afterall, actors includes actresses. Why not as below, so above?

all 6 manned moon landings in humanity's alleged history only ever occurred during Nixon's first term of presidency.

mankind hasn't been to the moon outside of the 1969-1972 window which happens to be immediately following RFK's assassination the previous year.

I wonder what would happen to a woman's cycle once she was free of the lunar influence over time and how it would affect human reproduction viability in space if we were to send a long duration colony ship - even with simulated gravity spin - on a long colonization mission to another earth like world if we ever discover one that is habitable (or to colonize other solar systems if there sun's are found to be stable were they may then build space habitats out of the available material found there).
Would they adapt or would there menstrual cycle become erratic (we already know that a group of woman together synchronize there cycle perhaps as a tribal adaptation so that they would be ready to conceive when the hunters would come back from there long hunt's in the age of the hunter gatherer - this is mostly like a hormone pheromone response at a group level), would they group affect be sufficient - and how would it affect a lone or very small group of females on such a long mission, how would it affect human multi generation viability for such a long duration colonization mission?.

60s and 70s compared to today is apples and oranges really where sexual discrimination is at play.

I'm sure there will indeed be plenty of Women astronauts should we ever decide to venture back to the Moon.

Sex aside through, should be the best persons for the job, gender should not come into it.
