I Think I Figured It Out

The things about the Democrats that really put me off...

They are pessimists. There is no working towards betterment and ultimately achievement. It is an acceptance of the lowest standards as the way things are. Didn’t win the game, here is a participation trophy for everyone instead of teaching fundamentals, tactics and cohesion within the team to showcase strengths and better defend exploitation of weaknesses. A downplay and discouragement of success while stressing there is no need to improve. You see it in generational welfare, Section 8 projects, lack of respect of laws and authoritative bodies such as Sanctuary Cities, no go zones, urban decay. You are a victim and can never better yourself because the system will keep you down.

They are bullies. We don’t like guns so you can’t have them. We don’t like cigarettes so you can’t smoke them. If you disagree then you are a homophobe, xenophobe, islamaphobe, sexist, racist, whatever new -ist or -phobe we come up with next week to hurt you into agreeing. Helping is wonderful, charity is wonderful but doing so under force (taxes) or coercion (laws) is not altruism no matter the cause.

Pessimistic bullies. Change that platform and maybe you’ll gain support or at least respect.

I was raised with a "No pussies allowed." Rule.
Just the facts.
Lights cigar.
Takes a shot of whiskey.
Scratches the dog's belly.
Life is mighty fine.

Don't forget that they are all willing to give up liberty and freedom of citizens for targeted demographics or even illegals...

Kamala Harris wants to give $25K to each black family in the US for homeownership,

dems want to decriminalize illegal border crossing and in CA have passed legislation to provide healthcare to illegal immigrants (all while CA residents and US citizens are experiencing homelessness, drug epidemics and poverty)

Forgive student loan for millions of Americans (who pays for that, other responsible taxpayers who worked hard to pay off their loans or went into a trade instead of taking out student loans)

They like to call Antifa a "left leaning protest group" instead of the terrorists that they are,

and like you said, anyone who criticizes them for their policies or hypocrisy are labeled sexists, racists, homophobes, "heartless", whatever else they want to say to try to deflect and discredit the valid criticisms of them

The list goes on and on... quite sickening really.

"Free" health care, we all know better, it won't be free and we'll all have to pay more taxes.

"Free" college, again, it wouldn't be free, and very few are even addressing the inflated prices. This one I'd actually be OK with them saying you'd have to do 2 years in a community college first, and if a state funded school is going to take money, they can't have lavish campuses and charge 40k a year.... The student has to maintain good grades and work in public sector for x amount of years afterwards to give back in a way. (edit, and there is a list of high demand degrees to choose from if you want the help)

Illegal immigration, I don't hear much talk on how to fix the problem... Just that they don't like what's been going on for decades because it's mean. OK, cool, what are we going to do to address it? What are we going to do to make sure that those who come over in waves aren't exploited when they get here? How do we keep tabs on them just like tabs are kept on me? How are we going to find jobs for them, and ensure they can support themselves if so many American's have 2 jobs working paycheck to paycheck?

I laugh at your rant while I smoke my cig and look at my 30:30 and Henry rifle.... I sit here on disability from my union job.... Something you probably hate...

I'm not a fan of broad brushes, but I do think there are some inherent problems with the DNC.

I actually want them to address it and move past their slump, because to be honest, I hate the two party system... I don't see a viable party, or any viable candidates on either side of the aisle. So long as there is little competition, the candidates will reflect that.

I think both sides have some work to do to create a more competitive environment where scrubs don't exist just because the pickins are slim.

I'll accept I could have worded it better, so I'll attempt to.

Many on the left are quick to point out problems without providing solutions. Many of the solutions they do propose come with a laundry list of problems, mainly money.

We're exponentially getting in worse debt, I can't in good conscious advocate any increase in spending. We have to source any spending for new programs from somewhere else while reducing overall spending.

I'm pretty much down the middle and see the hypocrisy. People don't want to hear that. Both sides do crappy thing.

I actually agree with you here. There are plenty of reasons to be critical and even criticize Trump. But it's not looked at kindly here.

But to be fair, this thread is about the Democrats. And as it stands, they look to be using the same tactics in 2016, which didn't work out for them.

Could that have anything to do with the trillion dollar tax cut for the rich?

Does the right not see any problems in this country? Do they offer solutions other than cutting taxes for the rich?
