My guess is Trump will lose for these reasons:
- Hillary ran a horrible campaign. She represented the corrupt and evil establishment that everyone was so fed up with however most people still saw
her as the lesser of two evils and were willing to hold their nose to vote for her just to stop a clown like Trump from becoming president. But
Hillary was just so bad in her arrogance that she pushed a lot of people over the line to simply abstain from voting because the media made it seem
like Hillary had a slam dunk win anyway and Trump had no chance of winning. So they did not see the urgency of the situation because the polls were
totally skewed and terribly wrong. And so this chunk of non voters who had the biggest impact in the last election will not take anything for granted
in the next election no matter what the polls say. This time they are going to go out and vote him out since in the minds of most of these non voters
it still holds true that anybody is better than Trump.
- There were also a number of independents and Bernie supporters that actually decided to vote for Trump over Hillary. They saw Trump kind of like the
necessary poison to swallow to get rid of Clinton. But Trump was never the end goal at all, he just seemed like a less organized and calculated evil
and easier to get rid of later than Clinton if she had won. So I doubt that this group of voters will want to vote Trump into a second term
considering they never really wanted him in the first place and only voted for him to get rid of Clinton. So now that Hillary is out of the picture
and I don't see anybody from the new democratic candidates that is disliked as much as Hillary and Trumps popularity seems to be in the gutter lately.
So it's likely that the democratic candidate will become the lesser of two evils for this group of voters.
- Most Americans don't want to gamble with giving power to a possibly racist ego maniac president that in a worse case scenario could turn into a mild
version of Kim Jong if they reward him with a second term. Sure many people are concerned about the immigration issue but they want this solved in a
humane, sensible and smart way and Trump has proven he is incapable of that. There are priorities in life and most Americans don't want to see kids
being separated and put into cages and this escalating any further in that disturbing direction. Nobody wants to support a president that reminds
people of concentration camps as he tries to tackle the immigration problem. That's just not going to fly, period. And whether these issues about
immigrants and their kids being mistreated are real, fake or just exaggerated by the media the fact is that they are very real in the minds of most
Americans and that's what matters. Blame the media if you want, but the fact is it's also the words that come out from Trump's own mouth and his
tweets that in some way corroborate to most Americans that we are dealing with, if not a racist, in the very least a highly insensitive and
narcissistic person who has little concern about the rights and needs of all the many groups and minorities he has managed to insult and disregard
with his comments and actions. Who wants to take a chance with someone like that in the long run? And you can only blame Trump and his constant
barrage of gross things he says for that. It's not just the big bad media. It's his very own words.
- The US has never felt so divided as it feels now. The atmosphere that has been fueled under Trumps presidency is the most polarized and toxic that
the country has seen in a while. In the beginning maybe it was fun to see the big bad clown go after the big bad establishment until you remember that
he is really just part of the same privileged group and establishment we complain about. And whether he is just pandering to his base or really means
the things he says the fact is the atmosphere in the country feels much worse than it was before and it's not making most people feel great about
America, quite the opposite.
- A possible recession. The over spending, the trade wars and market instability. Ok folks let's at least admit that it's possible he might have no
idea what he is doing in regards to the economy. Apparently he is a failed business man who inherited $400 million from his father and managed to lose
over 1 billion. So let's consider the possibility that he might be the worse person to be driving the direction of the countries economy. And if we
are hit with a recession before the elections it will most likely kill any chances he had of being re-elected.
- Trumps total disregard for the environment. Ok sure you are skeptical of the so called climate change, that's fair since its a complex issue that
scientists don't seem to totally understand either. However you can not deny that we we have an environmental crisis in the world. You only need your
own eyes and to do a little traveling around the world to see the severity of this. The rate of deforestation everywhere, the pollution in the oceans
and massive population spiraling out of control and in todays age there is no escaping because what happens in one side of the world will eventually
spill into the rest of the world because we have reached a level of technological advancement where we can create great damage very quickly and its a
small world after all. Things could get harder for everyone if we don't take urgent measures to curve the damage and immigration issues could become
so much worse if we force people in some regions of the world to have to flea because of environmental degradation, desertification, pollution, etc.
It's already happening in lot's of places. That's why a healthy planet is actually everyones problem and the younger generations are totally on board
with this and the environmental awareness is high on their list of priorities and they are not going to vote for a douche who has zero environmental
awareness like Trump. The well being of the planet and humanity as a whole is too precious to be left in the hands of one fool. If the ship goes down
Trump jumps into his helicopter and flies to some luxury bunker after blaming the Chinese and the poor pay the hard price.
I could go on but these are some of the reasons why I think Trump will probably lose. I could be wrong of course since you never know and the left is
nothing to brag about but I don't see anybody of the current democratic candidates that is disliked as much as Hillary was in the past election
whereas Trump's approval seems to be worse than it has ever been. Of course his base will disagree but they are obviously not the measure of how
popular he really is overall.
We will have to wait for election day to really know.
