Especially if he twisted or folded those strips before braiding... Much like fibers are twisted into yarn.

It is actually quite common from people in this state of mind. They have resolved their decision and it is very freeing.

The injury happens with force like falling off a chair with a noose.

It also happens with people who get strangle with fingers and rope.

What his injuries indicate to me was a strangulation device was used and actually crushed his throat. I would say an inmate got a little too excited and wasn't a pro if I were gambling.

They also have indicated other broken bones.

As soon as he falls asleep in a blood strangulation like just hanging off the bed he would be putting some weight on the floor.

For what it's worth, I read (okay, more like skimmed) an article about how Robin Williams committed suicide and that it is similar to what is being speculated about Epstein. It seems that if set up in a certain way, that it is the weight and position of the body that matters. IF Epstein committed suicide in this way, then he would have had to know how to do it effectively beforehand. That's the impression I came away with at least.
