The fact is that google and other large "multinational" corps pose a very huge risk to election meddling and social engineering(that borders on treason in some cases).

The sad reality is they have no more power than what people chose to give them. If 60 percent of the populace shunned these companies they'd wither and die.

But that would take intelligence and personal conviction as well as actual principles.

The DOJ needs to add a lot more attorneys, investigators, etc.. That's one government agency that needs to be expanded now.

Why is this any different then a person or organization trying to influence people? Even people on this site attempt to manipulate people's thinking.

Google search "Trump"... then Google "Sanders"

The bias against President Trump is obvious. Google goes out of it's way to find and place negative Trump content in the top results. That's why there is a 1/4 second delay in the results page appearing.

It would be nice if we got something here for real but my knee-jerk reaction was that it's just their way of fighting back and getting people on the email notification list. Due to the fact private companies are able to block, ban and attack their free speech.

That remains to be seen. That's assuming we even get to see or read about any of what Google has done. This is nothing new. It's been going on for years. Google pays a lot of money to Congress through ISPs (over $100M in contributions). It's their hidden way to pay off Congress and they (Congress) all know where that money comes from. Greedy ass pigs. All of the democrats AND republicans. All greedy ass little pigs.

The softball talks with Sunday Pichai last year prove how castrated Congress actually is.

So how do we (the people) make a change? By voting out the current Congress and installing a new one you might think? Sure...but we make those decisions based on the information we read about prospective replacement candidates. Where do we get that information?

Why from Google of course. They curate and culture every piece of information to influence readers on a a second by second basis as a means to continue their influence over the population so we do nothing more than put the same greedy ass pigs into Congress over, and over, and over, and over.

It's the classic case of the gorilla guarding the bananas.
