Barr and the fbi only got involved because Epstein died . If they find evidence Epstein has been bumped off , the # will hit the fan for certain elite peddlars .

If Barr and the fbi brush all this under the carpet ( granted it's still a possibilty) then what'll be drawn from that ,

My point is the fbi did nothing for about a decade on this case u til the court records were about to be made public and the fbi and other government agencies were going to be made to look horrible for letting Epstein off

Then they knew that Epstein would have many powerful people that would want to kill him and he may want to take his own life

Then they knew that either he or someone else did want to take his life

But they never checked in to make sure he was being properly surveilled to ensure his role as a witness i their ongoing investigation wasn’t jeopardized?

The fbi, the sdny, the jail they were in are all responsible for this

Sure and my point is if you think that is how it works after a judge sentences a criminal you are clueless. (In either case the sweetheart deal or incarceration before trial)

Again this case was never over. The victims fought for years and finally won some decisions as well as were able gather evidence and witnesses for the US prosecutors to open the case again.

First off witnesses are evidence and new evidence coming forward is not unique or unusual.

2nd Plea Deal and a sealed one from the witnesses at that. They didn't use the info from the feds and there was no evidence entered other than preliminary depositions etc...because of the plea deal...secret plea deal at that..

3. Because finding "new" evidence may avoid double jeopardy.

You were just asked why the Miami herald had to get involved to start the new investigation into Epstein? You tried deflecting for 3 different posts. The FBI wasnt going after Epstein. They were not going to go after Epstein.

After the Miami news ran a story revealing what a monster he was they had no choice.

That is how this all worked. There is no disputing that so stop trying. It is fact.

My question for you is what is your endgame defending Epstein? He was clearly involved with 100s of powerful people. Why dont you want to find out who else was raping kids?

If you read the pdf document of 2024 pages which is the unsealing of the case Maxwell vs Giuffre from 2016 you'll see the Miami Herald was part of those proceedings .

Miami is in Florida so the Herald was necessarily involved from the start , when Epstein was originally tried in Florida in 2005/6

Newspapers have investigative divisions and will share with enforcement agencies

You would not expect Obama's FBI to be directed towards discovering Epstein , but that's whose FBI it was , until 2016 .

You don't need the fbi until the police can;t cope - and they could cope with Epstein's behaviours , and they brought their evidence to prosecutors ,

and as was pointed out to you , for there to have been a crime you need a victim , and it's then the plaintiffs and their lawyers that help plead the case for prosecution , to the police and then the courts
The fbi didn;t make any plea deals with Epstein , but Acosta as the then US Attorney for Florida made the plea deal with him , in secret . FBI had nothing to do with case at the time , supplied no evidence . For example it was Detective Recardo and the plain clothes surveillance unit of Florida PD which watched or searched his house to gain evidence .
