I've seen a lot of accounts lately of people seeing slow moving orange balls of light in the sky and of all these accounts none of them were as close up and detailed as my sighting. And yes, my husband MrSmartypants saw it too. So I figured it's sort of my duty to relay the details of my sighting.
It was last year, 2018, at the end of the summer (I don't remember what month) about 10:00 pm on a clear night. I was out in the backyard (large backyard at the end of a dead end street) just piddling around. I was standing facing the back of my house looking due North when in the sky slightly to my left I saw a large round bright orange light slowly heading in a south/south/easterly direction and I immediately thought it was a helicopter search light and I just as quickly realized helicopter search lights are not orange. And at that point it changed its direction to a due south path taking it directly towards my location, not descending but slowly coming straight towards me (believe it or don't) and at that point, the back door was open so I started yelling for my husband to hurry and get out there and see it. He got outside just in time to see it slowly reach a spot directly over my head. I had to bend my head back as far as it would go and look straight up. As for its size if the size of a star as seen from earth looks as big as the end of a pencil eraser then this was the size of a dinner plate. It's moving so slowly it almost seemed to just hang there in space and I did not take my eyes off of it. It's color (contrasted against the dark night sky) was an intense, vivid, deep orange and the color was uniform across the surface, no slight changes in hue or anything...just perfectly uniform color. And scattered across the surface were these little curlicue-like swirls going in all different directions. They were visible because the outer edges of the little swirly things were outlined with a thin, sharp bright red line. If the orange ball of light was the size of a dinner plate then each of these swirls were one inch long. And when I say sharp I mean there was nothing blurry about this. I could see every detail of this intense pure orange surface sharply and clearly. I then had the presence of mind to think I really need to pay attention to as much detail as I can before it's gone...so I looked at the outer edge of it and it was sharp, smooth and distinct against the sky... and perfectly round. I can't emphasize enough how perfectly round this was. You just don't see colors that pure and homogeneous and shapes so perfectly round in nature. And around the edge was a thin layer of whitish haze (and by thin I mean the candy coating on a M&M thin or a little larger). The haze did not slowly dissipate out into space but stayed confined to the thin layer.
At this time my husband started to get spooked and went back in the house but I never once took my eyes off of it. I watched it as it slowly continued due south until it was out of sight. It made no sound.

Your very lucky to have witnessed something so amazing!
Possibly you tuned into it and therefore brought it to you.
Thanks for sharing

I admit I kinda want to believe that it/they knew I was there.
But when it first altered it's direction and started coming towards me I felt a bit panicky and unsure of what I should do for a moment. Part of me wanted to hide underneath something and part of me felt silly for feeling that way. So I did the logical thing... nothing.

No pulsating ... just the swirling motions taking place throughout the surface.

Did the orange orb have a search light and/or a beam of light extending out from it? Or was it that you thought the orange orb was the search light of what you initially thought was a helicopter. Hope that makes sense lol.

I only ask because I had a similar experience with an orb, Orange in-color as well. Although, it was the most extraordinary color I've ever seen - a pure orange like which you described, perfectly. I domt remember seeing little sgwigglys outlined with red, though (maybe the craft you saw was a higher rank
). I too thought it was helicopter by the way it was slowly moving through the sky, never ascending nor descending, just cruising straight through... until it changed it's course - now heading straight for me. And it's that moment, when I became certain that this thing was indeed, not a helicopter. It made no noise the entire time I was experiencing this. For what was no more than 5 minutes, I watched this orb slowly approach, until coming to a final halt above the house of my neighbors across the street. During that time, it had this search light or beam of light that extended from the outer-most layer of light of the orb itself, maybe 40 feet , and was whipping it around across the ground and out This next part, is what haunts me - still, to this day. It was so vivid and excitingly frightening. Well, as this orb approached real close - directly above my neighbors house, it maneuvered it's search light directly in the path of where I was standing. I freaking saw the light move along, on the ground around me as it passed over. And I swear on every meaningful thing in my life, that after I had looked directly at that search light as it passed, I started to hallucinate (BTW no shrooms, acid, hallucinogenic-drugs, etc. was at fault, considering I've never done any). The moment I looked away from the light, the colors of things that my eyes saw of my environment, were not normal. It honestly scared me. I remember looking at the tree's on my street, the leaves were purple - the trunk's were a blueish gray. The asphalt itself was orange, the sidewalks were a brownish color. I remember frantically looking around wondering what the hell was going on, wondering why my neighbors houses were the colors of that of a neon sign. My depth perception was completely broken. Every where I looked, things were all wavy and ripples - sorta like a raindrop on an undisturbed surface of a pond. The effects lasted approx. 30 seconds, slowly fading away after 20 seconds of intense WTF-ness. I didn't stick around any longer, as I immediately ran inside my house afterwards. I looked through my blinds about 2 minutes later to see if the orb was still there, and it was gone..
That is the most significant experience I've ever had happen, out of everything in my life. Will never forget it, it's still vividly in my thoughts and memories. I've never shared this, not on ATS, not with my family, but only to my one good friend.

Have you ever seen a sky lantern.
Did this differ qualitatively?

In my case there was no beam of light. .However afterwards I did experience a somewhat altered state of reality...as if what I just saw had been a dream and if my husband hadn't seen it too I probably would have thought it didnt really happen. It's hard to explain. It just felt very unreal.

I have never seen a sky lantern. But there was no uncertainty about its shape. It had a definite well defined edge and shape.

Yeah. Well a sky lantern is a physical thing that has a shape. They're pretty weird looking, actually, if you don't know what you're looking at.

Freaked Sig out. Even with binocs.

From that description alone there is no doubt whatsoever you experienced an amber orange type ufo orb. The inner swirling for whatever reason is only seen in the amber orange type while white, red, blue, green, metallic, yellow types have a different look and no swirling is seen. Great sighting

Was it a mothership amber orange orb?

Yes
well almost. Certainy an amber orange type yes............... Mothership......... er tell the truth no quite sure. There is every possibility that orbs of all colour types are actually condensed motherships maybe a mile wide that shrink down to what we see close up in our skies to make themselves less noticeable and sort of blend in with the surroundings.

Speaking from experience................. There is also the possibilty that the mothership is actually just a mass of ufo orbs in clustering formation and readying for flight. A group of amber orange types I came across hovering a few feet above the ground can be seen in my avatar to the left, indeed when they cluster they can make the appearance of a true mothership.

Even three red type flying in a three piece formation will give the impression of a 'black triangle' mothership

Thanks. I think. As you know, I tend to be a bit sceptical about these things so sorry for the ribbings. I would be interested in your take on my experience? - not an orb but definitely a UFO in the literal sense:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I really can't explain this and the second bit is just high strangeness!

Love your posts on here actually and I find the whole ufo thing a laugh a minute too. So used to it, I gave u worrying about hiding the ufo stuff and ended telling everyone I know about them thing is you become the local David Icke. People laughing wherever you go, i only have to walk into some factories and once through the door loud screams of hysterical laughter along with ufo comments and general derision. Just part of life now mate
and quite enjoy all the madness

Can't wait to check out your experience, give us ten bud

I find it unsuual that the orange orb you observed did not look like it was on fire. Or maybe you guys were too far away to discern the flames licking around the foo fighter's defensive, magnetically contained --- reddish-orange --- fusion plasma shield; sporting no fiery tail. The swirling you observed is promising...since it possibly might be an indication of electrified swirling plasma currents. Much like the one I observed --- in it's landing phase (about 1 mile away, big as my fist extended at arm's length) one night in November, 1976 --- approximately 40 miles west of Washington D.C..

My foo fighter observation of it's physical and color characteristics, were similar to Gut's observation of one (possible E.T. foo fighter) --- in it's takeoff phase.

I didn't realize this was an ongoing phenomenon.

About 6 or 7 years ago, I was returning home from the movie theater, a journey of maybe 1/4 mile, with two friends in the car. We all three at the same time saw an orange sphere in the sky, a perfect sphere. it was a very uniform orange, and the edges were sharp. I'd estimate it to be 10-12,000 ft up but also a few (5?) miles away, as it appeared in the same general area as planes taking off/landing at our small regional airport, but moving perpendicular to where the runway is.

My buddy who was driving stopped the car, the guy in the back got out and started recording, I just got out and watched. In an instant, it turned matte black, still perfectly spherical, and we watched it for about 40 seconds until it hit the horizon. You could watch a plane from the airport for several minutes and it wouldn't hit the horizon.

I don't claim to know what it was, but airplane seems improbable.
