What I am saying is kids are not allowed to take risk. Hell, back in the 70s while staying with my cousin in Dulac, Louisiana hauled his Pirogue, that is a canoe type boat, out to the back swamp and got lost. Luckily my aunt and uncle called for help when we did not show up for supper. We did that kind of crazy #, we were bayou kids but we had the freedom to take risks. We hunted cotton mouths and nutra rats and bragged about it. Yes we were stupid but how else can you learn. Yes there were casualties and lots of scars. Now these poor kids can't even live and take risk. Damn lawyers and law suits took all that away. They locked up all the gravel pits, rivers and levees so no kids could get hurt. Without adventure, childhood is boring. We damn sure did not shoot at each other but I did know a guy that shot at planes because the fool did not know people were in them. Yeah, bad genes. Go figure.

idk it is just that we are all just so damn sheltered. Bad stuff like violence happens and some games can prepare you for the shock of waking up that not everything is hunker dory.

We see thousands of murders and killings depicted in films, TV and games. Normal people can handle it, but for someone with mental problems or poor impulse control, it just might trigger violent behavior. If you watch old movies and TV shows, the depictions of violence are tamer than you see in unrated movies these days. Even after fighting the second bloodiest war in our history — WWII — there was very little realistic violence in mass media. We were a gentler, much, much more civilized society up until the late 1960s it seems, when movie violence became much more graphic (The Wild Bunch, e.g.). I blame Hollywood and the Supreme Court for much of the fascination with violence in our culture.

Only if Pelosi get her wish and allows 16 year olds to vote. Other than that your sick video games can lighten up a bit. Quit desensitizing children to brain splatter. The mix with pycho prescription drugs it becomes a perfect storm for crazy stuff like mass shootings.

I can understand personal feelings and convictions. I get it. However, no one is coming for your games. It is a talking point and it is true for some but not for all. That is where I feel the world has seriously gone off track. Allowing a child to walk around GTA 5 and blow some things up...ok. It is a game. A child getting a lap dance in GTA 5...uhm..not cool. THIS is why there are ratings. However, it is the 'parents' who are allowing it and then when their child grab some kids ass in 5th grade they want to blame the school, the teachers...and the game. Uhm, don't let them play it and it is not an issue.

THis is what Trump actually said...

"We must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace. It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this and it has to begin immediately,"

Includes. He is not calling Bungie saying stop or EA or Epic Games. He did not say just video games but included it in everything else that is affecting kids. Watch TV lately? Holy bat balls it is nuts. I remember as a kid 10PM meant the 'adult shows' were coming on. Now you can see veiled sexual innuendo on regular broadcast TV at 8 PM.

My son started playing Halo and COD at 8. Watched me play some Doom 3 too. Am I a bad parent? Nope. He is not shooting up schools or Wal-Marts or fantasizing about rape. However, there are some people who could be affected by it and again, it goes back to, the parents and in may cases the friends.

The shooting in Dayton should have been prevented the kid was nuckin futz...

Sorry, gotta go play some Doom....

My view of trump, and I'm English, so don't know how it will be taken. I look at the bigger picture, do the positives outweigh the negatives.
I think if you look past the grabbing of pu$$ies and the twitter gaffs etc, he seems to have strengthened the counties economy well, focusing on jobs staying and coming back to America.
His stance on immigration in my view may not be popular, but he is standing up to illegal immigration which can be a massive drain on a countries resources.
Believe me you could have a lot worse like the spineless soulless witch that just stepped down as UK prime minister running your country, believe me he's not that bad at all.
