That is one the things I am really annoyed about with video game creators. It has become increasingly difficult to find good couch co-op games where kids, or even adults can play a game with friends sitting next to them. I know young kids today who have never played a video game with someone else and the suggestion is completely alien to them.

That's because the big developers are going with the "games as service" model and in order to do that, you have to have an online connection and be playing against a lot of other people.

They want to package in loot boxes to encourage you to pay big bucks for the initial game and then pay $4 to $5 a pop for random chances to have bigger and better weapons or buffs in order to compete so they can milk more out of you.

All they care about is cash and friendly couch co-op game doesn't do much to generate that.

From my side of the perspective working for one of those Triple A or big developers it's not as simple as you make it.. Nothing in life is.

The facts are co-op online games are generally more enjoyable then co-op couch games and yes, go figure, game companies are in the business of making money.

Maybe, but do loot boxes make the game experience more enjoyable?

Not all games have loot boxes and their is 0 wrong with a game having them as long as they aren't required to beat a game.

Not really the thread for this as I don't want to detract from info about the shooting.

Yes really, I watch Univision daily, and Mexico has more killings, including mass shootings than the U.S.

Search "matan en mexico 2019" a lot of those shootings are against lawyers, police officers, mayors, etc, but also students, and regular people.

A 13 year old was kidnapped and they demanded a ransom, but was murdered.

Masked men murder 3 police officers and injure 2 in a restaurant.

A group of armed men shoot over 300 bullets into the vehicle killing famous singer and his representative.

Sicarios murder by torture chief of police.

Tourists (American) murdered by police when they didn't stop at 3:30 am, husband and wife killed son is only survivor.
People are responding, in Spanish, that the police probably wanted to demand money from the tourists and murdered them.

Lawyer murdered after coming out of court. The newspaper even denounces the fact that "like always" the police were not there, no security either, and that they announced this lawyer was owner of a business of cheese named "jasmin." Why in the world would the police give that info?

Nación
Matan a migrante guatemalteco en México

Illegal immigrant from Guatemala is murdered, his son is injured by white weapon in the neck. Human traffickers from the Zeta demanded from the family $12,000 U.S.D. the family could only pay $8,000, so they murdered the father and attempted the murder of the son.

I could keep going and going, and those are just from last month.

The violence in Mexico is no secret, parts of mexico are literally run by the cartels. After 911 when the opium fields in Afghanistan were destroyed a vacuum occured and the Mexican cartels took over where the Taliban left off making the cartels a lot of money and power. Imo we should not allow this nonsense to continue the spillover is inevitable.

Father did drugs for 40 years

The father of the 21-year-old man arrested for the El Paso shooting massacre was a drug addict for almost 40 years and is now an energy healer who claims to have had visions of Jesus Christ and his dead grandmother, DailyMail.com can reveal.

This month, August 2019.

Third journalist murdered by shooting in a week in Mexico. The journalist received death threats, probably for posting factual information about either police brutality/corruption or for posting information about the cartels. I am guessing is a combination of the two because the information from the investigation states he was supposed to be protected by the police but security measures weren't followed leading to his murder.

Armed men murder 13 including a minor on April 20th 2019.

Now I am only posting some of what I am finding.

21 july 2019, armed men murder one ministerial police officer and his baby.

Matan a 3 hombres en balacera en Ciudad Obregon

3 men murdered by shooting in Obregon city on july 10th.

Now pay close attention to this next news which I have to translate.

Title of article.
"The massacre that nobody saw, sicarios win"

"Massacres continue to occur one after the other by an absent government, incapable, negligent, or accomplice.

There is no register for the majority of these massacres. The relatives, when they can, take the bodies and say their goodbyes in secret.

The terror of organized crime today is the same inaugurated by Felipe Calderón and continues under Enrique Peña Nieto.

The cartels dispute between themselves trafficking of drugs, weapons and people and continues to occur without any form of alteration.

The violence reaches grotesque levels. These are crimes against humanity in regions where the Constitution and Mexican laws are not followed, neither the observance to human rights nor the International Human Rights..."

One of those massacres i was referring to occurred after the mass murder of 14 people, including the minor. It was another mass massacre but I can't seem to find it even though it was shown on Univision.

Most crimes in Mexico are not shown, only some are told, but if it is the murder of officials, or journalists it is always in the news, but not all massacres against regular people are told/shown by the news. Sometimes people put them in their own social media if they were witness to the events, and if they have access to the internet.

Did you hear about the two Americans whom were murdered by the Mexican police last month and their son was the only survivor? I haven't heard of it even in Univision. At least not in the tv news of Univision.

Father of Shooter

‘What was shocking on the surface was to realize that my spouse had taken off without leaving an adult in charge.’
The father reacted bizarrely to the news, immediately pulling into a ‘major warehouse store’ and attempting to steal a computer hard drive.
He was apprehended by security guards and spent several days in county jail, leaving his three children to fend for themselves on Christmas Day.

I'm guessing the son gets his persecution complex and reactive behavior from his father.

I am pointing out the FACT that places that have strict gun control laws ARE WORSE than the U.S. How in the world am I condoning what happened in El Paso?... Seriously... Learn to comprehend what people say, instead of puting words in people's mouth. What do you want to do, put more laws disarming the law abiding?

The spillover is already occurring, and has been occurring for a long time. Crimes occurring in border cities have been brought by the cartels and our own law enforcement are overwhelmed. Heck, the Mexican cartels have a presence in large U.S. cities, including Chicago.

Mexican drug cartels fight turf battles in Chicago

How Mexican Cartels Prey on Chicago's Chaos

The places in the U.S. with the most gun control laws are the places with the most murders with guns, and have the presence of even Mexican drug cartels, as well as murderous Latin American gangs like MS-13 that the left in the U.S. were until recently claiming weren't a problem/didn't exist...

The unsigned four-page, 2,300-word racist screed, was uploaded to websites 4chan and 8chan just before the August 3 shooting. As reported first by Matt Keys, the FBI confirmed it was looking into the document and knew the time it was created and uploaded.

...

According to NBC News, the FBI was aware of the document before the shooting, but investigators were not able to find the target of the attacker fast enough.

Link

So the FBI appears to be actively monitoring 4chan and 8chan.

Who would have thought.

But wasn't/isn't 4chan deemed as "fake news"? Why would the FBI be monitoring what the left calls fake news?

I wish we could figure a way to keep the guns out of the hands of bad guys and lunatics. Putting guns in more hands in the u.s, which is already starting to resemble the wild wild west, will just get crazier.

I don't want to live in a world where a simple trip to the store will have bullets flying by my head.
